Chapter 244
Dylan hailed a taxi and got in. The moment he got into the car, he whipped out his phone and called Scott. He would have probably already arrived in Las Vegras by now. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Dylan tapped impatiently on the armrest as he waited for Scott to pick up.
Meanwhile, Jay and Scott had just arrived at Las Vegras Airport. The two of them got into the car that had been waiting for them. Jay immediately opened his laptop to check his email and report it to Scott.
Meanwhile, Scott was checking his phone. Although he had plenty of work emails that he needed to get to, there was not a single missed call or text.
To be specific, none from the person he wanted.
He checked the time. It was 8:10 p.m. in Las Vegras.
The night was still young in this city that never slept.
Scott put down his phone and gazed out the window at the twinkling city lights.
All of a sudden, his phone buzzed.
Jay trailed off and fell silent.
Scott turned around and picked up his phone.
It was Dylan.
Scott felt a chill run down his spine when he saw Dylan's name on his screen. He picked up the call. "Hello?"
The moment the call went through, Dylan smiled and asked, "Have you arrived in Las Vegras?"
"Yes."
Dylan raised his brows. Scott did not sound like he was in a good mood. Did someone piss him off?
Dylan would usually pry further and perhaps even tease him, but this time, he was calling with a mission. Without missing a beat, he said, "Give me your driver's number."
Scott was gazing out the window when Dylan said this. He froze momentarily, then asked, "Why?"
Dylan grinned. That was one of the first times he ever heard Scott asking him why he wanted to do something. He liked this version of Scott.
Scott was usually the one who manipulated him, and this time, the tables were about to be turned!
"What else would I do with it? I want his number so I can get in touch with him if I need to. Why can't I get his number from you?" Dylan replied earnestly, but Scott did not answer.
Dylan blinked when no response came and finally said, "Hello? Are you still there? Is the line breaking up? Hello?"
Scott scowled at him, then ended the call.
Dylan was still checking the phone to see if there was still a signal when the call suddenly ended. He froze. Did the call actually break up?
However, his expression darkened at the next realization.
How could it be? Las Vegras was one of the busiest cities in the world, so how could he not get a signal? Clearly, Scott had hung up on him!
Dylan was rather annoyed by that. How could Scott treat him like this?
