Invincible Heir

Chapter 48 Tracy Was Beaten

Chapter 48 Tracy Was Beaten

She looked upset hearing what he said.

She appeared firm once again when she recalled the three bodies and looked at Baron in

embarrassment, “I just don’t want you to breach the law for me.”

Baron knew Tracy was kind-hearted, so he just said “I got it” only.

He drove to the Blue Sky Kindergarten. Both of them kept silent along the way.

Baron didn’t know what to say, while Tracy thought she hurt him vocally and felt guilty. She wanted to

apologize to him but didn’t know how.

However, the couple was amused by Lara who was picked up by them.

Lara said elatedly after Tracy and she came back to the Perry Courtyard, “Granny, dad drove me back

home again!”

Sherry got the word “again” from Lara precisely, her face turned glum at once and queried Tracy, “You

and Baron picked Lara up these days?”

Tracy frowned and answered unhappily, “Mom, he just drove us from work to home. Moreover, he is

Lara’s dad, so is anything wrong?”

“Anything wrong?”

Sherry shouted, “You are now the executive of Samho Group. Lots of young gentlemen dream of

marrying you. How can you get married if you waste your life on him?”

Tracy knew Sherry disliked him, so she ignored her, taking Lara’s hand and going upstairs.

“Mom, I am home!” Yuri arrived home from work as well.

Hardly had she come in when she saw Sherry’s glum face and asked in a smile, “Mom, who offended

you this time?”

Sherry glared at Yuri angrily, “Your damn sister! What was she thinking? How come she was willing to

let Baron pick her daughter up. You see, will those snobs marry her if they spot this scene?”

Tracy eventually realized what happened and the day when Camel and Edward revered Baron at the

Spring Garden Restaurant. She couldn’t help to give a bitter smile, “Mom, don’t worry too much about

sister. Brother-in-law isn’t the man you saw before.”

“Me? Worry too much? Wait, how did you call that garbage?” Sherry widened her eyes angrily.

Tracy didn’t realize her mistakes, “Brother-in-law!”

“What’s wrong with you? Your sister allows him to pick them up. Now even you begin to call him so?

You nearly piss me off. Is that what you want?” Sherry became mad.

“Mom!”

Tracy hurried to grab Sherry’s shoulders and pinched, begging for her forgiveness, “Mom, don’t judge a

person too early. Baron was garbage five years ago, but who can expect him to be the same five years

later?”

“Given that sister doesn’t want to get married, how about giving them enough time. If he does be

garbage like before, my sister will be bound to dump him without your knowledge. But if he can be

different? One day he will become the precious son-in-law, right?”

Tracy’s words stopped Sherry’s fastidiousness. Yet she replied impatiently, “How tricky you are. Anyone

but him can marry my daughter. I warn you, you don’t call him brother-in-law again!”

“Fine! I got it, mom. I am starving to death. Can we have meals now?” Tracy said merrily.

“I am so ‘unfortunate’ to meet you, two daughters,” Sherry said before turning around toward the

kitchen.

Lara in the upstairs cried and looked at Tracy, “Mom, why is granny mad at dad? I want dad to live with

us, and hug me while telling a lot of stories for me.”

Hearing Lara’s words, Tracy felt upset. Sherry urged her to divorce Baron, but he didn’t live with them,

so she was responsible for the event.

She didn’t loathe Baron yet. Instead, she had a crumble on him, but she couldn’t overcome her concern

if they were to live together.

“Take it easy, Lara. We will one day live with dad.” Tracy helped wipe Lara’s tears off and said softly.

“Really?” Lara’s eyes sparkled with a sense of excitement.

Tracy at first refused to lie to her, but nodded after hesitation, “Um!”

“Great! I love you, mom and dad!” Lara smiled immediately and kissed her mom.

The next morning, Baron arrived at Perry Courtyard on time.

He couldn’t believe the person coming to see him was his mother-in-law.

Sherry rushed out with a besom and flogged it at him.

“You bastard! You dare to pester my daughter. I will kill you.” Sherry scolded.

How could the strong Baron be beaten by a mere besom?

He didn’t escape and endured Sherry’s curse. Sherry asked in confusion after seeing he didn’t move at

all, “Stupid? Why didn’t you shun away?”

Baron smiled mildly, “If I shunned away, you would be angrier. It is okay for me to be beaten if you

agree Perry and I can keep staying with each other.”

“You wish!” Sherry groaned.

Taking a glance at sideway, Sherry noted there stood a black car near Baron. It looked nice, but Sherry

scoffed at him when he saw the logo, “You really believe you can stay together with merely a valueless

Volkswagen?”

Baron kept calm and smiled, “Mom, tell me your requirement before I get your approval?”

Sherry rolled her eyes and said immediately, “I will consider it if you pay me 50 thousand per month.”

“Mom, is that true?” Baron turned ecstatic.

Sherry impatiently took a look at him and said ironically, “You really think it’s easy to earn 50 thousand

per month?”

Baron had opened the car’s door while she was speaking and he took out 5 pads of pristine one-

hundred notes from the collection box from the front passenger seat.

“Mom, these are for you. Take them first, and I will give you more a few days later.” Baron gave them to

her happily.

Sherry was stunned when she saw the money was taken out from his car. Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

In her eye, Baron was nothing but garbage; she mentioned the money on purpose. Unexpectedly, he

did take them out.

“Seriously?” Sherry hurried to fetch the money, worrying that he would snatch them back.

Baron nodded in a smile, “How should I take them back once I gave them to you? I will give you 100

thousand next month if you agree”

“Okay.” Sherry agreed immediately and feared he would change his mind.

Baron was astonished and thought he should have done so if he knew it was easy to win her heart

easily. Just 100 thousand. It’s no big deal. He would take everything until he had nothing if he could live

with his wife and daughter.

“Mom, what are you doing?” Tracy took Lara out of the room and felt annoyed after seeing Sherry.

Sherry hid the money under her apron in a hurry and purposedly coughed, “Dear, I just thought twice

that it is better for him who was after all Lara’s dad to stay here temporarily.”

“What?” Tracy was amazed, for she knew better than anyone how she hated him.

Sherry glared at her daughter and said impatiently, “I allowed his staying here temporarily only. He will

be dispelled if he angers me.”

Then, Sherry turned around and left.

Lara was utterly cheerful and said, “Mom, you don’t lie to me. Dad can really live with us!”

“You don’t lie to me.” Tracy felt embarrassed and instantly blushed and stared at Lara, “Get on the car

now, or you will be late again.”

Then, she pulled Lara and sat in the car, leaving Baron alone who kept laughing dully at where he was,

“It seems that Lara has told something secret.”

He didn’t leave while singing until he drove Lara to the kindergarten and then took Tracy to the Samho

Group.

Rosie leafed through the material copied by Tracy who sent it to her and pushed all of it to the ground

in a rage, snarling, “You copy this shit?”

“Anything wrong?” Tracy picked one of them and didn’t find any problem.

“I want a one-sided copy, not a two-sided one. Who told you? How shameful you are to stay in the

company for you even cannot handle well this trivial.” She shouted madly.

Tracy would be a fool if she didn’t know Rosie was making things difficult for her.

“Rosie, you can fire me under the help of the HR department if you don’t believe I am qualified to be

retained here. You don’t have to bully me like this.” Tracy showed gentle dissatisfaction on her face.

Rosie had sought various opportunities to bully Tracy since the latter entered the company under the

name of a green hand. It was also Rosie who beguiled Tracy to sign the contract with Waldo to catch

attention.

“Look at you! You dare to talk back. Do you really think you are still the remarkable president of the

board? Listen, you are my subordinate and you should obey my order. Go away if you cannot stand it.”

Rosie scoffed.

Tracy’s eyes turned red and she was puzzled, “Rosie, how did I offend you so that you treated me

badly? Without me, you wouldn’t become your present self.”

“Bang!”

Rosie was irritated and slapped Tracy on her face, roaring, “You shut up!”
