Chapter 47 Tracy’s Misunderstanding

underestimate him.

He cleared his throat and said, “I have two announcements. The first, shut down all the family

businesses for three days and all the members of the Scott family are forbidden to entertainment of any

kind during these three days.”

All were astounded to hear that. They understood his bereavement, but it was indeed a great loss to

shut down all the family businesses for three days. But none of them opposed the move at this difficult

“The second one!” Edmund glanced at them and continued, “those who discuss Waldo and Wallace’s

give up revenge?”

“We are no match for him. He could shut down or unblock our businesses in just a few hours. That's

enough to show his strength. He could defeat us very easily. If we turn against him openly, he would

never give us another chance,” said Edmund reasonably.

Edric always looked down on Baron, but he began to understand somewhat now.

“No matter how strong he is, Waldo and Wallace died because of him! We shouldn’t let him go so

easily,” Edric said grudgingly, with reddened eyes.

death!” Edric said.

“My point is, maybe they were killed for someone’s benefit and Baron is nothing but a scapegoat.”

Edmund examined Edric carefully as if he was looking for any sign of evidence.

But Edric had thought about the situation and was well-prepared. He was doing a pretty good job of

hiding his expression. “What?! Dad, have you found something unusual?” Edric pretended to be

surprised, without a trace of nervousness.

Edmund could tell nothing from his face, looking faintly disappointed. “Edric, you're right. We can't let

him get away with that. You are my only living heir. As long as you could revenge for them, I will name

you as the head of the Scott family immediately.”

“So, that means, if I couldn’t revenge for them, you will not give the position to me?” Edric asked.

“You are my only son. At this point, I have no choice,” said Edmund, frowning.

“You have options because you have a daughter and a son-in-law. Maybe you could give them the

Scott to put his thumbprint here, and then it will take effect at once.” The middle-aged man stood

respectfully beside Edric, with a will in his hand.

It seemed that things started to get out of hand. Edmund jumped to his feet and pointed at the middle-

aged man, “w-w-what are you talking about? I never asked you to make a will, not to mention the

signature.”

The middle-aged man smiled gently, “Mr. Scott, have a look at the will, your signature is as plain as

day.” He said and waved the will before Edmund's eyes.

After getting a clear look at the paper, Edmund was in a terrible rage. “You son of a bitch. You set me

up.” As he talked, suddenly he felt a sudden sharp pain in his heart. His face became white, and then

he tried to take his heart pills from his pocket.

But Edric stepped up to him and took the medicine bottle out of his pocket. Then he threw it out the

window.

“Oh, yes. And one more thing. It's time to tell you the truth.” Edric bent down and whispered in his

father’s ear, “don’t you think it is strange about their death? You are right. I sent someone to kill them

and made it as an accident. Now you can die with them and don't worry, I will take care of your family.”

After hearing this, Edmund died, his eyes wide open and empty.

“Dad!”

Three men of the Scott family died in just two days! The news shocked the entire Cona.

Edmund had declared that Edric would be the heir to the Scott family many times. Besides, there was a

The news spread to the Perry family soon. Henry was shocked and summoned Zoey as soon as

possible.
