Chapter 913 A Goofy Man
Chapter 913 A Goofy Man
Andrew and Darian had put up such a real show just now, Samuel almost believed that they were truly
here to correct their mistakes.
But when he heard Maximilian's words, he was again disappointed at his two sons. The two were still
the ungrateful brats he knew.
Andrew and Darian then argued, "You're lying, the auction will start tomorrow. How can it be over
now?"
Maximilian couldn't help feeling embarrassed for them after he heard those words. The two still refused
to admit that they were frauding.
"Whatever, the Hardy Ganoderma has been purchased," Maximilian said calmly, but he didn't mention
that the buyer was him.
Andrew and Darian had to continue to act, so they said nervously, "What? It has been purchased?
Who's the buyer? We could contact him or her for some."
Maximilian didn't have time for the two liars, he took out some of the chunks of the Hardy Ganoderma.
Then he said, "Luckily, I paid in advance and purchased a few chunks."
After Maximilian said that, Andrew and Darian looked over. They looked so shocked when they saw the
Hardy Ganoderma chunks.
That was exactly like what they had seen on TV. They had never expected that Maximilian could really
have it. They dropped their jaws for it.
They wouldn't believe it if they hadn't seen this by themselves.
However, even by then, they still disliked Maximilian. Andrew immediately questioned, "We don't know
if Grandpa can take it yet. This one looked so colorful; it must be poisonous."
"The experts told me that it is not poisonous, do you think you're better than them?... and a Hardy
Ganoderma is not like mushrooms, you should know that," Andrew flushed as Maximilian mocked him.
Andrew looked at Samuel and said, "Dad, you can't take that. I'm sure it is poisonous."
He had to stop his dad even if it worked, because if this helped his father get better, he would never
had the chance to win his father's favor back again. His father might hate him more because of this.
Samuel was actually hesitating. He relaxed a but when he thought that Victoria and Maxmilian was
much better person than his two sons.
He felt much better very soon after he took the chunks.
"Those are really nice things," He couldn't help praising.
His two sons looked so disappointed because they knew they were completely out of favor.
Maximilian didn't know the side effects of this Hardy Ganoderma, nor did Damen. To make sure it was
100% safe, he reminded Samuel, "Don't take too much of it, Grandpa, just take one or two chunks. I
still don't know what the side effects are."
Samuel suddenly realized that when he heard that, he stopped eating. Now he felt much better.
He glanced at Andrew and Darian angrily and said, "You wouldn't let me have it just now. Are you trying
to kill me?"
Andrew and Darian waved their hands with a smile, and then they left in a panic.
Samuel felt much better after he took the Hardy Ganoderma. Maybe it was because the Hardy
Ganoderma was really of high quality, and his two sons had really irritated him.
Now Samuel cherished Victoria even more. He received a call from Connor to invite him to the manor.
He soon arrived and met Connor. The man smiled at him and said, "Nice to meet you, sir."
"Nice to meet you, too," Maximilian smiled. Connor was too polite, which he might need a little time to
get used to.
"Go and serve the food as I just said," Connor gave his housekeeper the order. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Maximilian could tell that Connor invited him here for something, so he laughed and said, "What's this
for? Are you trying to plot against me during this meal?"
"Why would I dare, sir? I would never do that to you," Connor sighed.
Maximilian laughed, "Do you have a problem? Do you need any help?"
He knew that Connor invited him here for a reason.
"Yes, I've got a problem," Connor mumbled.
Maximilian gave Connor a disdainful glance and said, "Why are you mumbling? Just tell me what it is!
You're wasting time! I. need to know what exactly is happening."
Connor was startled, and he started to talk as soon as he saw Maximilian was joking. He said, "Clark
wanted me to choose his side, but I refused him, and that's the problem... Rowen is on his side."
Maximilian was curious and said, "Keep going."
Connor continued, "I had a big order with Rowen before. The business was legal, but he deliberately
backlogged the money and didn't pay me."
"That's absurd." Maximilian frowned and said. He had thought of that before he came here, but he
didn't expect Rowen to be so despicable.
“That order is worth one hundred billion, and I haven't paid the workers yet. I need that money urgently,
and there's nothing I can do to ask him to give it to me," Connor said and rubbed his hands. This was
his first time to beg someone.
And this is because he was really at the end of his wits.
Maximilian understood what Connor was going through because this was mostly caused by Maximilian.
If he hadn't taken Connor' side, there wouldn't be so much chaos.
"Well, you can pretend to cooperate with them professedly, and cooperate with me secretly," Maximilian
suddenly said.
Connor didn't seem quite confident, he said, "Sir, would this really work? I'm afraid somebody will see
us through."
"No, we can do it. I know Clark well enough," Maximilian smiled and said. Ever since he had fought
with Clark, he had told what kind of person the guy was.
The guy was goofy. People like him wouldn't think twice when they did things.
Connor thought about it for a while and found that Maximilian's words made sense. Maximilian said, "I'll
lend you the money first."
Connor thought Maximilian was trying to get rid of this or let himself solve it, and then he relaxed so
much when he heard that Maximilian was willing to lend him the money. He was so touched that
Maximilian cared about him.
In that way, Connor started to call Clark and pretend to beg for mercy on the phone. He even kissed up
to him.
