Chapter 237
Chapter 237
Bang!
Bryan slammed shut the door.
On Facebook, there were photos of Andy standing next to Finley.
Bryan didn’t want to make a fuss about it.
However, Finley now dashed out to look for Andy, regardless of the rainstorm.
It rained hard. The roads would become slippery. What was more important than her safety?
Screwed her!
Finley drove all the way to her dormitory in Capital University.
She didn’t bring an umbrella with her. Therefore, she ran through the heavy rain to her destination.
The warning line surrounded the crime scene. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Those onlookers were dismissed from the warning line.
The president was already there for the investigation proceeded by the police.
This was the scene of death.
It was right under her dormitory.
Delia lay in a pool of blood with a pale face.
She didn’t close her eyes, looking like she died with injustice unredressed.
Bright red blood flowed down from her forehead and merged with the rain. The ground was bright. red, and the smell of blood was pungent in the air.
The police protected the corpse with an umbrella above it to prevent the rain from affecting the coming autopsy.
Finley stood on the spot and felt difficult to calm down.
This was a life.
Delia loved to mess with me but shouldn’t pay with her life.
Did she really commit suicide?
A black umbrella suddenly appeared and blocked the rain from Finley.
Finley raised her head and saw Andy in white casual clothes as clean and dazzling as usual.
Andy took a white handkerchief out of his pocket and handed it to Finley. “Wipe the rain on your face. You are drenched. I told you to stay at home. Why did you come?”
Finley didn’t take the handkerchief. “Stay away from me. My enemies always come to a bad end.”
Finley walked out of the umbrella and went straight to the policemen.
Some policemen saw Finley and sent one over to negotiate with her. “You are Finley, aren’t you?”
“Yes.”
“It is said that you and Delia bear grudges against each other. She wrote your name on her suicide note and cursed you in her recording that kept playing in the dormitory. Since you are here, please go with us to the police station for further investigation.”
These policemen recognized Finley. The police force remembered Finley as Mrs. Turner after her last visit to the police station. Out of privacy trouble, they didn’t spread the news.
This invitation to the police station was part of the legal procedure. The police wouldn’t make things. difficult for Finley.
Hearing this, Andy panicked. He looked at the principal, his uncle, for help.
The principal got the hint. He walked to the policeman and explained, “Finley got first place in an open competition. She is excellent in both character and learning. Out of jealousy, Delia quarreled with her. This trifle is common among students. I hope that you won’t ruin a promising student.”
“Sir, a student died at Capital University. As the principal here, you are supposed to be partly responsible for this disaster. We want to ask Finley some questions and haven’t considered her as a suspect.”
“I will go to the police station with you.”
Finley had nothing to worry about, and it wouldn’t be her first visit to the police station.
I had nothing to do with Delia’s death.
Last time, I warned Delia verbally, but that shouldn’t be the reason for her death.
Finley got in the police car.
Out of worry, Andy got in the police car too.
This was the police station.
Andy thought that the police would detain Finley in a dark room for interrogation.
In the police station, Andy found that things were different from his imagination.
To be precise, he made a mistake.
“Finley, this way please,” Mr. Barton, who was in charge of the case, greeted Finley enthusiastically.
