Caught Between The twin CEO

“Hey there you are” she tried to sound jovial and not let what had just happened a few minutes back spoil the mood.

“Yes I just entered” he responded handing her the takeaway she had requested or back at the restaurant.

This prompted her to think back to why she had asked for takeaway food in the first place.

She was tempted to ask Paxton why her pictures where in his phone and why he was staring at them and smiling.

Just maybe Jaxton was right to be insecure maybe he had seen those pictures in his brothers’ phone or maybe they had gotten into an altercation.

“Paxton? Can I ask a question?” she asked and Paxton’s head snapped up immediately waiting for the question.

“Go on” he urged her.

“No just let it be, it isn’t important by the way” she decided against it yet again and went to the table so they could get into working.

She focused on work and they were both engrossed in work the entire moment and she was happy he never brought up the incident the entire time they were working judiciously.

Paxton merely just ignored her existence and focused on the machine before him.

Although she tried her best to be strong and not say anything she was distracted as she thought of the incident and also she looked at him and she was just thinking hard about the pictures he had in his phone.

She was thinking and mentally asking herself why he was holding unto her pictures and also being super engrossed with them.

She was caught staring and when she noticed he had caught her looking at him she turned away.

She was not expecting him to have caught her staring at him.

“Is there something on my face Ms. Sydney?” he asked her in a formal manner.

“No sir” she responded in a professional manner too.

“Are you sure? Because since from the restaurant you have been staring at me intently maybe there is something on my face you wish to take away” he said bringing up the restaurant whish she didn’t want to be brought up.

“Nothing is wrong with me, I just feel exhausted but I would be fine” she responded.

“Are you sure?” Paxton asked her again so that he would be sure of what it was she was thinking if she was troubled he would have loved that she told him but she had refused that she was fine.

“Everything is fine I promise you, don’t bother yourself.

Paxton got up from his spot and came to where she was seated as he did so she got up from her position as if to shift from him but he began walking close to her.

“What are you doing Paxton?” she asked as he had cornered to much.

“Your brother is in the other room Paxton please stop” she begged as he finally came to a halt and she too had halted.

Or maybe it was because she had finally hit the wall and there was no where she could run too.

“What would he do if he sees us together? Hold you in an assaultive manner? Scream at you or what?” Paxton asked her as he used his big thumb to touch her lips and she closed her eyes at the touch.

She enjoyed it too much that she snapped her eyes open.

“Please don’t do this Paxton” she pleaded.

“Why do you have a bunch of my pictures in your phone and why do you look at them and then smile?” she asked finally getting the question off her mind.

“Finally the question comes off your mouth and mind” he said although he was a little taken aback by the question and then he remembered he had left his phone and not just that he had left it unlocked too so she could easily have access to them.

He mentally face palmed himself.

“Well answer me would you?’ she chimed in even more.

“I would answer to you Sydney. The reason why I have your pictures in my phone is because…” he was stopped halfway when he heard Jaxton calling on Sydney.

“What are you both doing?” Jaxton asked as he entered the room to where the duo where standing.

Lucky enough he had caught them so close to each other as they had adjusted and Paxton had gone to the couch in his office and Sydney and stood by a printer which was at the corner where they had been standing she was holding a bunch of A4s in hand as though she was printing a document.

“What are you both doing?” Jaxton asked angrily.

The duo had thought he didn’t see them but unfortunately for them he had witnessed their closeness from the side of the door which was left partly ajar.

“Are you both working and frolicking?” he raised his voice yet again.

“Geez, for young man your age you sure do yell a lot you would wrinkle pretty fast” Paxton who was tired of the confrontation from his body was tired and just couldn’t wait for him to just leave.

“I saw you super closed to my woman” he exclaimed going head to head with his brother but Paxton was in no mood for yet another fight so he shifted and went behind his desk.

“Sydney, we would continue our work some other time as of now I do need to rest this day has been a long one” Paxton said while he arranged his desk.

“You are not going anywhere I caught you both” Jaxton yelled.

“And what exactly did you catch us doing Jax? Could you quit being a kid and behave like an adult?” Paxton asked.

“Guys stop, this is enough fighting for a day and I think we both need to rest just like Paxton said.

This statement made Jaxton even moe mad that he punched the wall.
