A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 324 Come

Ranita didn’t waste any time with Robert and said coldly, “I don’t want to see Mrs. Stuart, and please tell her not to bother me again!”

Robert already had a negative impression of Ranita, and being rejected directly only made him angry. “Ranita, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. It’s an honor for you to meet her, so stop complaining.”

Ranita was speechless.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

“Robert, are you trying to play Turner’s game? Then go ahead,” she said.

Mentioning Turner only made Robert angrier. This woman ruined his only son; he had wanted revenge for a long time but couldn’t do anything at Boulderland Mansion.

Robert sneered, “Ms. Bowman, you must be joking; I’m just a butler who follows Mrs. Stuart’s orders. I’ve delivered the message; whether or not you come is up to you.”

It was clear that he wasn’t saying anything good.

Ranita hung up without another word.

Robert lost face and became furious before finally finding Amiya on his phone, “Madam, I’m sorry; I didn’t invite Ms. Bowman over.” He looked guilty and respectful as he spoke.

“Hmph! Ranita has become bolder now,” Amiya sneered with a twisted expression on her face. “She used to be like a lapdog at Boulderland Mansion but now that she has left with such a large sum of money from there, she has more confidence!”

Brendon said he wouldn’t divorce unless forced to do so but then suddenly divorced anyway… Amiya felt relieved in one sense but also regretful about Wyatt’s inheritance left behind.

The money should have been secured before the divorce happened!

But Brendon gave it away directly to someone outside of their family! Amiya was angry about this decision by Wyatt’s lawyer whom they had supported all these years without gratitude in return.

“Ranita never had good intentions when she entered Boulderland Mansion,” Robert added fueling Amiya’s anger towards Ranita even more.

“I don’t know what kind of tricks she used that made him insist on bringing her into the mansion while giving her such an enormous amount of money.”

“Who said it wasn’t?” Amiya was about to explode with anger. Wyatt gave Ranita such a large sum of money, and Amiya even hired a lawyer hoping to get the money back from Ranita.

However, Wyatt was shrewd and not only left a will but also personally notarized it, making it impossible for Amiya to take action.

Just thinking about giving so much money away for free to the person she hated the most made Amiya want to vomit blood.

Ranita’s good mood was ruined.

Suddenly, a shadow loomed over them, and a deep voice sounded, “Ranita? What are you doing sunbathing outside?”

“Mr. Webster?” Ranita smiled at Chris. “What brings you here?”

“Just passing by this area and came to see Kora. How about you? Want to come play?” Chris paused before speaking again with his head lowered, “Don’t call me Mr. Webster all the time; just use my name.”

“Oh… but… won’t that be disrespectful?”

Chris looked at her silently before sighing, “Why does it sound like I’m very old? And why did you bring up respect? Brendon is around my age too; don’t you call him by his name?”

Ranita chuckled lightly as she was amused, “Mr. Webster, you’re not old at all!”

“You see!”

“I’m just used to calling you that!” After pausing briefly, Ranita changed her tone of address, “Chris… Chris…”

Her voice was soft without any particular emotion behind it, but Chris felt his spine tingle as he sensed something special in her words.

He seemed really attracted now.
