A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 316 Ex-Husband

“Are you taking care of her? Who are you to Ranita?” Brendon sneered, his gaze coldly fixed on Dylan. “Don’t be so presumptuous here.”Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

“Heh… and what about you? Just an ex-husband!” Dylan retorted.

For the first time, Brendon was at a loss for words.

“Don’t forget that Ranita’s child is mine,” he said, feeling depressed and childish for arguing with Dylan.

He waited a while until Steve came out.

“How’s Ranita?” Dylan immediately asked as he approached Steve.

Brendon also stepped forward and pushed Dylan aside like a child. “Steve, how is Ranita doing? Is everything okay?”

Steve looked at the two of them in disbelief. “From the test results, she has some malnutrition and low blood sugar. She just needs to eat more and rest more.”

Pausing for a moment, Steve gave Brendon a meaningful look. “Brendon, come over here for a moment.”

Dylan was displeased. “Dr. Pearson, is there something I can’t hear?”

Steve smiled wryly. “Only he can help with this matter right now. You can go in and see Ranita but try not to disturb her.”

With an annoyed grunt from Dylan who then went inside quietly without making any noise with his footsteps, Brendon asked, “What’s going on?” He wanted to see how Ranita was doing too.

But Steve stopped him. “Brendon, you shouldn’t be getting divorced at this time. You’ve seen Dr. Daniels’ psychological evaluation report. This isn’t the best time for Ranita.”

Brendon felt wronged. It was actually Ranita who insisted on getting divorced. And damn it, his marriage certificate had been lost!

“Brendon, I know you’re in a difficult position, but after all, Ranita has been with you for three years… but now that things have happened, it doesn’t matter what we say,” said Steve sympathetically. “She can’t eat or sleep well, and it’s having a big impact on her body. Additionally, the baby inside her needs nutrition. If this continues, she may not be able to hold up physically.”

It was clear that Rantia had lost weight significantly since they last met. Brendon nodded solemnly. “I know, I’ll take good care of her.” He paused before running his hand through his hair. “The problem is we’re already divorced, and she’s very resistant towards me now.”

Steve pushed up his glasses without any sympathy. “You deserve it!”

“Steve!” Brendon protested indignantly. “Is there really need to talk like that?”

“Isn’t it?” Steve gritted his teeth. “Yasmin is back, and I sent her all of her information. Try not to come over here too often so you don’t run into Shannon and affect Ranita’s mood.”

Steve paused, then patted his shoulder before returning to work.

In Boulderland Mansion.

Amiya was drinking tea when the butler Robert bowed and said, “Madam, the investigation you asked for has yielded results.”

“How is it?” Amiya lazily asked.

“Ranita is indeed pregnant. Look at this!” Robert handed a document to Amiya who glanced at it before sneering, “That slut Ranita!”

“Bring her over to see me!” If Amiya had cared about this child before, now the child was just a stumbling block for Shannon entering the Stuart family!

She didn’t want any unnecessary trouble that would upset Shannon.

“I’ll take care of it…” Robert hadn’t finished speaking when Holly appeared out of nowhere with anger in her voice asking, “Mom, what were you guys talking about just now? Is Ranita really pregnant?”

Holly couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

How dared that slut Ranita secretly get pregnant?! Wasn’t she causing trouble for Shannon? If Shannon found out about this matter she would be heartbroken!
