It was an international flight filled with people from all walks of life. There were people from all over the world, but a majority of them were locals.

Sage and her bodyguards settled in their seats in the first class. One of them sat next to Sage, while another sat behind her. They guarded her against all possible danger, protecting her from all angles.

Sage took her book out and said to her bodyguards, “Chill out, guys. Just stay calm and keep your face looking normal.”

She mouthed to them and smiled. ‘Checked!

Maybe it was because she was meeting her eldest brother soon. She felt extra cheerful, just like a child. The two bodyguards tried their best to smile at Sage, but it did not feel real.

Sage shook her head lightly and said, “It’s okay. I know you tried your best. It’s all Mister Wando’s fault. He’s too uptight.”

The bodyguards were a pair of twins named Abby and Allie. Mister Wonda handpicked the pair from Hope Town Home. He kept them as apprentices and handheld them to train with him.

Abby, who sat next to Sage, said to Allie, “Go and check if there’s any problem with the plane.”

Allie grunted in concurrence, said a few words with the cabin crew, and then headed out of the cabin.

Abby asked for the name list of the passenger manifest and checked if they were the same as the passengers who boarded the flight.

Abby was professionally trained to speed read and could remember everyone’s name at one glance.

It was all emphasized by Mister Wonda before they departed. They could not afford to have any mishaps, and Sage’s life was their utmost priority Sage wanted to tell them that the flight was arranged by Tim, and there should not be any problem with it. However, she wished they would calm down and not make such a scene instead.

She even heard that the pilot had experience flying war jets in the past. He was a highly trained pilot with years of experience, so there was totally nothing to worry about. After all, it was her bodyguards’ first time flying with her, so it was reasonable for them to be a little nervous about it.

Sage was curious. Tim said he had arranged for someone to pick her up, but she was unsure who it was. She was curious to meet the ‘friend’ in person.

The first-class section did not have any other passengers. Sage figured that Tim might have purchased all the seats in first class.

To be fair, the plane was owned by one of the businesses that the Shelby family invested in.

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome on board. On behalf of the crew, I ask that you please direct your attention to the monitors above as we review the emergency procedures…”

The flight attendant announced in two languages that the flight was about to take off and asked everyone to fasten their seatbelts, keep the aisle clear, and turn off their mobile phones or switch it to flight mode.

Sage sent Tim a text.

[Taking off soon. Where is the person that you said is going to pick me up? Is he waiting for me at the Birmingham Airport?]

Before Tim’s reply came in, a cold, stern voice appeared above Sage.

“Please switch your mobile phone to flight mode.” Sage looked up and saw a tall man standing in front of her. He was six feet tall, and he wore a pilot uniform. He had a crisp buzzcut, a runway model’s body, and an ice-cold but masculine vibe.

His eyes were deep and stern. He took one look around the cabin calmly. He had an intimidating aura.

The two bodyguards felt the threat and subconsciously put their guard up.

Sage took a look at the man’s face, body, and aura. He definitely was no ordinary pilot. He had a strong military vibe, and she could tell it was not an ordinary air force. Sage was not afraid. She replied briefly, “Thanks for the reminder.”
