Chapter 255
Chapter 255
Early the next morning, Coralie slept soundly.
When she woke up, she felt content to see Skylar.
It had been so long since she last woke up with Skylar beside her.
Coralie woke Skylar up. He looked at her and said with a smile, "Good morning."
"Good morning."
Coralie leaned forward and then kissed Skylar on the cheek gently.
She noticed that Skylar had dark circles under his eyes and he did not look great. She could not help
but ask, "Didn't you sleep well? Did I wake you up last night?"
"No, you haven't been with me for a long time. I was reluctant to fall asleep."
Skylar lied to cover up what had happened the previous night.
"You should rest well."
Perhaps it was because Coralie had a good sleep, she had positive thoughts.
She even felt that Skylar would definitely defeat Yohan after two days and then take her away.
"Ok."
Skylar nodded, holding Coralie in his arms.
Even though the wound on his chest was still painful, he did not say anything.
Both of them just laid in bed until ten o'clock in the morning. The servant knocked on the door and said
behind the door, "Miss Chariott, Young Master wants you in his room."
Hearing the servant's words, Coralie's hand trembled a little.
She was terrified. It struck her mind that that one night of security was with the condition of getting an
injection.
"I'll send you there."
Skylar stood up and then went to get changed.
After Coralie changed, both of them went to Yohan's room together.
Coralie wanted to knock on the door, but Skylar just pushed the door open, holding Coralie's hands
while walking inside.
"President Holland, were you drained by the strenuous activity last night?"
Yohan noticed that Skylar looked worn out; he almost couldn't stand on his feet, but he still walked
Coralie there. Hence, Yohan deliberately said so.
Skylar ignored what he said. Instead, he warned, "I just hope that my woman isn't injured after two
days."
He stared at Yohan as he spoke. His gaze was fierce, with a warning.
"See you after two days."
Yohan did not say anything further. He only pulled Coralie towards himself.
......
During the next two days, Coralie had been living the days as if they were years. Every day, she was
worried that Yohan would mention the injection. However, Yohan did not bring it up at all.
Two days later, Yohan took her to a shooting range in the suburb.
The rules of their competition were simple. It was based on a scoring system.
The winner would be the one who won two out of three matches.
Coralie was the only person in the audience seat. She watched Skylar and Yohan in the distance; both
of them were discussing something.
Her gaze followed Skylar wherever he went.
Soon, the competition began.
Skylar was the first to start, followed by Yohan.
After the first match, the scores of Skylar and Yohan came out. Coincidentally, it was a tie. From NôvelDrama.Org.
After a short break, the second round began.
In the second match, although Skylar and Yohan's scores were different every round, the total score
was still the same.
That coincidence was rare.
After the second match, Yohan asked someone to get Coralie.
Coralie stood between the two of them. Suddenly, Yohan suggested, "President Holland, let's play
something interesting."
"What?"
Skylar asked.
Yohan ordered someone to move the target closer, and then pulled Coralie to stand right in front of the
target. After adjusting the height, he positioned Coralie's neck exactly at the 10th ring on the target.
"Stand still."
Yohan ordered Coralie.
"What are you doing?"
Although Coralie was a little confused, she could guess what Yohan wanted to do. To be frank, he just
wanted her to be the target.
"President Holland, since the distance is so short, it shouldn't be challenging to aim for the 10th ring,
even the 9th ring would be fine. However, the 8th ring..."
Yohan fixed his gaze on Coralie as he spoke. Coralie was standing right in front of the target. Unless
they shot on the 9th or 10th ring, or toward the left of the 8th ring, Coralie would either be injured or
killed.
If they missed, especially on the right, she would definitely die if they hit it as it was where Coralie's
neck was.
"I don't agree!"
How could Skylar agree to bet on Coralie's life?
"Skylar, if you don't agree to it, I might spill the beans."
Yohan looked toward Skylar as he spoke, indicating that he was about to reveal something.
In fact, Skylar knew that the only thing that could threaten Skylar was the fact that he got the injection
on Coralie's behalf on that night.
"It's a man match, why are you bringing a woman into this matter?"
Nevertheless, Skylar still disagreed.
"President Holland, it has always been this way. Wouldn't you be more concentrated with her
presence?" Yohan got into position as he said, "I'll start first."
Coralie panicked seeing Yohan raise the gun and aiming it at her.
If he missed and hit her neck, she would definitely die.
"Don't move, or you will be dead."
Yohan said.
He aimed the gun at Coralie, but he didn't pull the trigger.
"She'll dodge for sure!"
Skylar was furious. He was so sure that Yohan was a lunatic; he even took Coralie's life as a joke.
"Then tie her up. Cover her eyes and fix her to the target."
That was the first time Yohan used a person as a shooting target. He felt what Skylar had said actually
made sense.
After everything was done, Yohan turned around and then said to Skylar, "You'd better not interrupt me
after the timer starts. Otherwise, I'm not the one who will die."
After saying that, he pushed Skylar away.
Coralie was blindfolded, she realized that it was even more terrifying not being able to see anything.
However, her body had been tied to the spot so she could not move at all.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
Three shots.
Although Coralie was afraid, she did not feel any pain after those three shots. Perhaps, the bullets
didn't hurt her.
Coralie let out a sigh of relief.
After Yohan, it was Skylar. Coralie had complete trust in Skylar.
She believed that Skylar would never hurt her.
Therefore, she was very relaxed.
After a while, Coralie heard Skylar's voice from a distance, "Don't be afraid."
Coralie did not speak. She just smiled, it was a sign of confirmation for Skylar.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
After two shots, Coralie was almost relieved. She was hoping that after one more shot, she would be
able to take off the blindfold and return home with Skylar.
"Bang!"
Third shot.
A millisecond after the final gunshot, Coralie felt that her shoulders were numb. In the next second, she
felt excruciating pain in her shoulders.
"Coralie!"
Skylar yelled from afar.
There was panic in the air.
Coralie knew that Skylar had missed a shot. Did that mean that Skylar lost the match?
Would Yohan kill Skylar?
Thinking of that, she couldn't move. All those worries had overpowered the physical pain.
