Wooing My Ex-Wife

Chapter 618

Chapter 618

Chapter 618 Cedrick Punishes His Wife

“I’m busy handling the affairs of the Federal Bureau of Investigation lately, so I might not be able to leave anytime soon,” Cedrick said after giving it some thought.:

“That’s fine. Kieran and the others have had enough fun in Salinsburgh anyway. They plan on taking a short break before leaving, so they can wait for us.”

Cedrick got a little curious when he saw how enthusiastic Gwendolyn was being. “You seem really excited about traveling. Gwenny. Aren’t you worried about the babies?”

That was when Gwendolyn recalled what happened when they went traveling to Astoria.

She got so worried about the babies that she developed a fever. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she lost control of her emotions back at the hotel and ended up hitting Cedrick

Feeling bad for what she did back then, Gwendolyn wrapped her arms tightly around Cedrick’s and rested her head on his shoulder.

“What happened at Astoria was my fault. You would definitely take care of your work and the babies before going traveling with me, so I shouldn’t have worried that much. I’m sorry.”

“It was not your fault, Gwenny. Your mania was starting to act up at the time, and you only lost control of your emotions because you were sick. I would never blame you for that,” Cedrick said with a gentle look in his eyes.

The more magnanimous he was about it, the more Gwendolyn felt bad about it.

She had been so busy ever since they returned from Astoria that she didn’t have time to apologize to Cedrick until now.

“I remember that I hit you quite hard with a clothesline pole. How about I let you hit me back when we get home later?” Gwendolyn suggested.

Cedrick froze in shock when he heard that.

I can’t call myself a man if I hit my wife!

Upon staring into Gwendolyn’s eyes, he saw that she was actually serious about it.

“If you really want to make it up to me, then…” Cedrick paused briefly and flashed her a mischievous smile as he continued, “How about you let me punish you in any way I want? You will have to do everything 1 say with absolute obedience.”

“What kind of punishment is it? The normal kind or something unorthodox?” Gwendolyn asked when she saw him grinning from ear to ear.

“Which one would you prefer, Darling?” Cedrick asked while trying his best to hold his laughter in.

“You said you would punish me however you like, so I don’t think I get to choose,” Gwendolyn replied.

It took Cedrick every ounce of willpower he had to stay focused on the road as he drove home.

After parking the car in the Jenson residence garage, Cedrick made his way to the passenger side and opened the car door for Gwendolyn.

He then scooped Gwendolyn into his arms and carried her upstairs.

“Remember what you promised me, Darling. I will punish you to my heart’s content tonight, and you will not say no to anything. I want to try out every single position,” he reminded her.

Every single position? Oh, no… I don’t know if my waist can handle it!

Gwendolyn wrapped her arms tightly around Cedrick’s neck and tried her best to suppress her feelings of frustration.

Since I want to make it up to Cedrick for hurting him in Astoria, I cannot say no to his request. Even so, I need to give him a little reminder before we get started!

With that in mind, she looked up at Cedrick and whispered in his ear, “Remember not to go too wild, okay?”

Cedrick rubbed the tip of his nose against hers as he replied. “The night is a perfect time for us to go wild, though.”

“What kind of logic is that?”

“It’s my logic.”

The two chatted away as they made their way into Harrick Villa.

Their intimate moment in his office was interrupted when Valentino faked his illness and pretended to have fainted, so Cedrick intended to make up for it that night.

Sure enough, Gwendolyn’s body was aching all over after a wild night.

Cedrick had left Harrick Villa by the time she woke up the next morning. He probably went to the Federal Bureau of Investigation to handle the case involving Yael and Xander.

Gwendolyn was the only one left in the master bedroom.

Ugh… Thanks to a certain someone, my body hurts all over, and I barely have any strength left! Honestly, it felt as though he were a hungry tiger that could never be satiated!

Gwendolyn mustered every bit of her strength just to pull herself into a sitting position.

That was when she heard a notification tone coming from her phone.

Upon reading the message she received, Gwendolyn saw that it was from the person whom she had hired yesterday to investigate Yael.

Her expression slid into a frown and grew solemn when she read through the files.

According to the information she had paid a lot of money for. Yael had appeared near the scene on the day Cedrick’s parents died in the car accident twenty years ago, and there were also signs of him being present at the scene.

However, that incident was far too long ago, so the statements provided by eyewitnesses were incredibly

vague.

Apparently, David was also present at the scene of the car accident.

Yael and David were both there that day. Were they there before the car accident, or did they go there afterward to remove the evidence? The fact that Yael threatened Cedrick with that incident suggests that he was there and knew everything that happened. I mean, how else would he be able to threaten Cedrick with it?

After taking some time to analyze the situation, Gwendolyn decided to send the file to Cedrick via WhatsApp. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

It wasn’t until she opened up their chat that she realized he had sent her a bunch of texts.

The texts read: I’ve made you breakfast, Darling. It’s being kept warm in the microwave oven. Remember to eat it after waking up.

The weather is a little gloomy today. It rained a little when I arrived at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The temperature is a bit on the lower side, so remember to bring a coat when you’re leaving the house.

Also, remember to take the medication for your mania. I’ll call you in the afternoon to check on you.

Cedrick had sent her those messages before leaving the house.

Gwendolyn felt a warm sensation fill up her heart and enjoyed how he cared a lot about her.

After successfully sending the document over, Gwendolyn texted him her thoughts on the matter as well.

While Cedrick could have investigated the matter and obtained the exact same information himself, Gwendolyn still wanted to try and help him out in any way possible.

She received a reply from Cedrick a few seconds after sending him that text.

Cedrick wrote: Understood. Thanks for the hard work, Darling.

Gwendolyn then put her phone away and propped herself up in bed. Although her body was still somewhat weary, she felt very satisfied with her accomplishments.

She then got out of bed, quickly washed up in the bathroom, and applied some light makeup before heading downstairs for breakfast.

Because of how fast she was, the entire process took only twenty minutes.

Instead of heading straight to the garage after leaving Harrick Villa, Gwendolyn went the other way and dropped by Valentino’s villa to visit Benedict and Zendaya.

The two kids were still at that age where they would instantly smile the moment they saw their mother.

Gwendolyn cuddled and played with them for a bit before leaving the nursery on the fourth floor.

As Logan knew she would be heading out, he had been waiting outside the door to walk her out of the villa.

Neither of them said a word as they made their way down the stairs.

It wasn’t until after they reached the garden outside the villa that Gwendolyn said sternly, “Uncle Yael has already spilled the beans, Logan. He said Uncle David was the mastermind behind Mom and Dad’s car accident.”

As though he needed to process the news, Logan stopped in his tracks for a few seconds with a tense look

on his face.

“What are you saying, Mrs. Jenson? Mr. David would never do such a thing! Old Mr. Jenson already told Mr. Cedrick the truth last night! Does Mr. Cedrick not believe him?” Logan asked.

Gwendolyn stared Logan right in the eye as she replied. “It’s perfectly normal for him to not believe it. Even I found it a little hard to believe. Of course, I can’t just take Uncle Yael’s word for it either. You see, I found out this morning that Uncle Yael and Uncle David were both present at the scene. It is possible that they were both responsible for the car accident.”

Logan’s eyes went wide with shock when he heard that. “Please don’t make such jokes, Mrs. Jenson. There must have been a mistake in the investigation. It’s impossible for them to both be present at the scene. Even if they were present when the car accident took place, there’s no way they would have caused a car accident to kill their brother.”

Gwendolyn arched an eyebrow at him in response. “That incident took place twenty years ago. Even the eyewitnesses could barely remember what happened back then and the statements they gave were vague. You once told me that you don’t know anything about that car accident, so how are you able to remember so many details about it now? How would you know whether Uncle Yael and Uncle David were present at the scene or not?”
