Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 267

Chapter 267 You’re Going Down, Fiona

Maia kept her faint smile, but her expression grew cold. She was in Victoria’s boutique, after all. She did not want to do anything drastic at first, but it seemed she had no choice.

She had to teach Fiona a lesson and show her just how pathetic she was!

Maia turned around, walked toward Fiona, and slapped her before she could react! Silence descended over the entire boutique. The two ladies behind Fiona were gobsmacked.

Hope, too, was shocked and covered her mouth. “She did it...”

At this instant, Ava knew Victoria had to come down. So, she turned and climbed the stairs. Fiona yelled after a few seconds of silence. “How dare you slap me, Maia?”

“I'm older than you. An older person must educate the young. You just got schooled. What choice do | have when your parents didn’t teach any manners?”

Maia was calm. She should have been seething with rage, but she was very calm. Too calm.

“Why, you...” Fiona was about to return the favor, but Maia was too quick for her. She caught Fiona’s hand and gave her another slap!

“Here’s another lesson for you. It’s hugely disrespectful to strike an older person!”

“Maia Burgess. You bitch!” Fiona yelled again. Then, she turned to the two ladies behind her and ordered, “What are you guys waiting for? Don’t you want the gowns? Hold her down and beat her to a pulp!”

The two ladies hesitated for a few seconds before they rushed at Maia. However, Maia kicked one of them in her belly. The other lady was intimidated by her glare and stayed rooted to the spot.

Afterward, Maia held Fiona down on the marble wall. Fiona tried to break free, but she was held tightly and could not move a muscle.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

The two ladies saw what happened and were about to help Fiona when Hope armed herself with a glass vase and threatened them.

“Stand back! I'll split your skull if you take a step closer!”

They looked at each other and froze. Fiona was furious. “You're going to regret your actions, Maia. My parents aren’t going to let this slide!”

“| don’t get scared easy, Fiona. Go ahead and call your parents. Let’s see who’s going to be the one with regrets!” “What's so special about you, Maia? You're just relying on Cedric! You wouldn't be this arrogant if he didn’t have your back!” +15 BONUS

“My arrogance has nothing to do with him, Fiona. Do you have any idea the kind of repercussions your family would face if you offended me?” Maia sneered. Every word she uttered was charged with imposing intensity.

Fiona started to panic. Then, Maia leaned in and said, “I'll call off every single celebrity and show from my company from your family’s platform. Don’t you think the share value in your family’s company will hit rock bottom?

“Perhaps Sunny Videos will seize the opportunity and tear you down. Don’t you think HL Corporation might try to acquire your family’s company by then?”

Fiona was speechless. She turned pale.

Her family’s online streaming platform was just a tad less popular than Sunny Videos. If HL Corporation had not acquired them and collaborated with Starlight Entertainment in variety shows like The Quest, the Obriens' company would have surpassed their biggest competitor.

“I-I’'m sorry, Ms. Maia. | shouldn’t have spoken disrespectfully. | take back what | said. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.’ )

Fiona saw the bigger picture, so she yielded and apologized.

Maia smiled and released her, but she still looked intimidating. “Scram!”

“O-Okay.” Fiona left the boutique in a flash. The two ladies followed suit.

That was when Maia heard applause. Victoria was on the stairs. She grinned and looked at Maia, impressed,

“Well done, Ms. Maia. You scared Fiona so much that she ran away. She has picked on a lot of my customers. She took away their gowns and insulted them countless times. You have done them a great service today.”

“Victoria!” Hope called out to her at once, “Why didn’t you chase her out?”

“Fiona’s mother used to be my mentor. I’m indebted to her. So, | have to give in to her whims from time to time. | pity my customers, though...”

Victoria came downstairs and looked at Maia. “With that said, are you really going to call off your celebrities and shows?”

Maia smiled and said, “It's not going to affect my company, really. However, it’s better to make allies than enemies in this industry.”

Her answer impressed Victoria very much. She gave Maia a thumbs up. “I’ve long heard that you're a badass. Hope mentioned it too. Still, it's mind—blowing to see it with my own eyes!”

“Is your mind blown because both of you are equally hotheaded, Victoria?” Hope grinned.

Victoria shook her head and said, “That's not it. My mind is blown because she’s even more of a hothead than | am. She’s prettier, too!”

Hope laughed, “You complimented my sister and yourself at the same time! | knew it. Pretty ladies are all thick-skinned!” Just like that, Hope complimented herself too.

All three of them burst into laughter.

“Anyway, is it okay for me to address you by your name?” Victoria gestured at Maia.

She nodded, “Of course. | wouldn’t want to offend a beautiful hothead, after all.”

Victoria was amused. Then, she said solemnly, “You taught Fiona a lesson today, Maia. Aren’t you going to get into trouble if she tells her parents about this?”

Maia said confidently, “That’s not going to happen. I’ve met her father several times. He’s worldly and humble. Besides, Fiona started it first. If he’s going to stir up trouble for his daughter’s sake, he would've done so during the debacle of The Quest.

“He knew very well that his daughter was in the wrong. He also recognizes just how important my company is for him. So, it’s not going to happen.”

“| can’t believe you thought it all through before you sprang into action.” Hope was very impressed.

“It pays to think about all the angles.”
