Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 145

Lucas immediately got down from the chair. “Mommy!”

Audrey looked at the face, which looked 70-80% similar to Dylan’s. She narrowed her eyes and a hint of anger appeared on her face.

Lucas immediately looked aggrieved when his mommy stared at him like that. He looked at Audrey and said “Mommy, I’m sorry!”

Even his apology was exactly the same as Dylan’s Audrey suddenly smiled gloomily.

Lucas was most afraid of seeing his mommy smile like this. When he saw his mommy smile like this, Lucas’s entire body stiffened.

The next second, he heard Audrey’s aloof voice. “Aren’t you very capable? Why are you back?”

“Mommy, I’m sorry. I was wrong. Don’t be angry with me!” Lucas obediently lowered his head and admitted his mistake.

His mommy was the most important person in the world to him. If she was angry, he had to appease her and admit his mistake obediently.

Audrey was even angrier when she saw the pitiful look of Lucas obediently bowing his head and admitting his mistake like Dylan.

She snorted and sneered. “Who sent you back?”

Lucas looked down a bit and said, “Someone sent me back. He left after sending me to the house!” Lucas did not dare to say that it was Dylan’s man,

Audrey nodded, but her gaze became more gloomy. “Lucas, do you still remember what Tve taught you?”

Lucas said softly, “Mommy, you said that I have to tell you wherever I go. I can’t do dangerous things alone. I have to have someone by my side no matter what I do!”

“Do you admit your mistake?” Audrey looked at the boy indifferently.

Wendy could not help but frown when she saw Lucas’s pitiful look. Her heart ached even more.

“Ms. Hernandez, Lucas is still young, You’ve just arrived home and you’re already teaching him a lesson. How can a child not make mistakes!” Wendy looked at Lucas and said with heartache, “Lucas, don’t be sad. I’m right here with you!”

“Wendy, I did something wrong and made Mommy worry!” Lucas said obediently.

Audrey did not expect the relationship between Wendy and Lucas to be so good in such a short time.

The gloom on her face did not fade. She looked at Lucas and said sternly, “Go to the backyard and receive your punishment!”

When it came to educating her children, Audrey had always been strict, especially this time, Lucas had committed such a serious mistake.

If not for the fact that Lucas had received all kinds of education since he was young and was not weak, he would have been in trouble after running away from home and disappearing for so long.

Lucas had already made preparations before he came. When he heard his mommy’s words, he only obediently responded and asked Wendy to bring him to the backyard to be punished.

Lucas thought of the car parked outside when he came back. He could not help but frown and ask, “Wendy, whose black car is that? Is there anyone else at home?”

Wendy said, “Do you mean the car outside? That’s Mr. Clifford’s!”

At the mention of Mr. Clifford, Wendy could not help but look at Lucas. As expected of father and son. They really looked alike.

At the mention of Mr. Clifford, Lucas’s face was instantly filled with aloofness and vigilance when he said, “He’s in the Holland residence too?”

Wendy said, “That’s right. Mr. Clifford was injured in order to save Ms. Hernandez. He had a serious fever last night and stayed in the Holland residence!”

Wendy did not notice the expression on Lucas’s face and told him the truth.

Lucas’s darkened eyes turned even more gloomy. He snorted softly, but he gave off a mad vibe immediately.

In just an instant, he restrained himself and did not let Wendy notice it at all.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

In the morning, Lucas was punished in the backyard. Audrey moved a recliner to the shade and asked Wendy to send some Fruits over.

She watched Lucas train.

After Lucas finished his training, she handed over a glass of water for the boy to stay hydrated. Her expression was no longer as aloof and stern as it was in the morning. At this moment, there was a hint of warmth in the corners of her harsh eyes.

Audrey said. “You’re not allowed to do anything dangerous any longer, or I won’t let you off!”

“Got it, Mommy!” Lucas drank the glass of water and obediently threw himself into Audrey’s arms. His usually cool and tender face revealed a rare spoiled expression “Mommy, I miss you so much!”

Audrey smiled and patted the boy’s head. “I miss you too. Let’s go and eat!”

Audrey held Lucas’s hand and returned to the house. As soon as they entered the house, Lucas looked around and met the gaze of the man sitting on the sofa in the living room.

This time, it was no longer just a glance at the phone screen through the video call.

Instead, they were really in the same space. When their eyes met, they found that they had identical faces. Even the cool expressions on their faces were identical.

Lucas frowned. His bright eyes revealed a hint of aloofness and vigilance when he saw Dylan.

He stepped forward and stood in front of Audrey. Then, he glared at Dylan harshly with a hint of warning.

This was the first time the father and son faced each other, and it happened in such a tensed atmosphere.

Dylan already knew that Audrey had bore him two kids back then. He had also seen them briefly on the video call previously.

But in fact, it was far less shocking than seeing Lucas’s face, which was exactly the same as his, with his own eyes Dylan felt a lump in his throat, and he almost wanted to cry.

Whether it was Brian or this child who was almost identical to him, they were both the best gifts Audrey had given him.

Dylan did not know what kind of feelings Audrey had when she gave birth to these two children, but he felt grateful at this moment.

Dylan could clearly see the intense hatred and aloofness in this child’s eyes, which was unlike Brian’s. The boy was also vigilant as if he was afraid that the grown–up would snatch his mother away.

The boy in front of Audrey was like a little leopard protecting its food and baring its sharp fangs at Dylan. As long as Dylan came forward, it would bite him.

Dylan looked at Lucas and suddenly smiled. It was a happy smile.

This son of his looked like him from the inside out. Even the way he protected his beloved was exactly the same.

Lucas frowned and looked at the man not far away unhappily. He pursed his lips.

Lucas suddenly walked towards the kitchen. A few minutes later, he walked out with a pile of things. He glanced gloomily at Dylan and turned to leave the living room.

Audrey glanced at the things in Lucas’s hands. She raised her eyebrows and suddenly looked at Dylan with pity.

Before Dylan could react, he heard a deafening explosion outside the Holland residence.

With a bang, even the air seemed to vibrate.

In the next second. Dylan saw his black car parked outside the courtyard explode into a sea of fire.
