Chapter 1397
Even as Bode spoke, he was winking repeatedly at Lydia. "Everyone knows that Claude Dresden is the king of West Zamri. No one would ever disrespect you—"
"Fuck off!"
Claude kicked Bode away right then and slapped Lydia violently across the face.
Even as Lydia screamed and dropped limply to the floor, clutching her cheek, Claude spat on the floor.
"Fuck..." he growled coolly, his face contorted with rage as he grabbed Lydia by the hair. "I'm a customer! And I bought million dollar cars! Your commission would be worth tens of thousands, if not more, right?! And you're telling me that's not worth your first time?!
"I thought you were just playing hard to get, but you're clamming up completely! What's your problem? And you know what? I will send my boys to Zamri Hospital right now and drag your father out of his ward! You'd better believe it!"
Lydia's face turned pale, and she kept pleading repeatedly, "No... No! Please, don't do this!"
He did not think that Claude would go so far as to investigate her family, even finding out that her father was hospitalized after a serious injury.
It was her measly salary that was keeping her father alive, and she had yet to enough to pay the hospital next week.
If her father was thrown out, he would definitely die.
There was no way Lydia would abandon him, as he had single-handedly raised her after her mother left.
"Do you get it now?!" Claude snapped, throwing a room card at her face. "If you do, come to my room at Grand Coast Hotel tonight, clean up, and wait! Otherwise, your father is a dead man, you hear?!"
Bode was soon on his face, smiling as he asked, "M-Mr. Dresden? About that car you were interested in before..."
"That depends if she makes me feel good tonight. I'll buy it in cash tomorrow if she does, but if not..."
Claude trailed off, snorting coldly.
Jane and Bode promptly leapt into action.
"You heard him, Lydia! That's your last chance, so take it!"
"Exactly! There's so many other girls who want to sleep with Claude! He's the heir of the Dresden family, y'know!"
Lydia hung her head as she listened
to her supervisor and colleague harangue her. Eventually and after some thought, she picked up the room card from the floor with shaking fingers.
"Hmph. I guess you understand." Claude snorted coldly.
Meanwhile, Frank and Mona, covered from head to toe in dirt, strode into the elegant dealership just then.
Jane spotted them and promptly stopped them.
"Hey, hey, hey! Stop right there! You're not welcome here!" Jane snapped at them, venting her jealousy toward Lydia at Frank and Mona.
Pointing at the distance, she
shouted, "This is a dealership for
luxury cars, not some place for bumpkin's like you! Now, leave! Security! Where's security?! Are you paid to do nothing?! Can't you see that there are two savages here?!"
Hearing Jane's rant, the two security guards who were laughing in the distance over their poker game promptly put on their caps and jogged toward them. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
