Chapter 3202
Chapter 3202
It was Imogen's first time hearing an elder doing that for their grandchildren.
It was already an era where people could date and marry anyone they wished to. Why were there still elders who interfered with the marriages of the young ones?
Imogen thought of her parents at that moment and took back her words.
Parents and elders were behind most political marriages between wealthy families.
Children of those families did not have much freedom to choose their significant others. Benefits were of utmost priority. It depended on how much of an advantage the marriage would provide to the companies of both families.
"Why did your nana choose me? I've never met her before," Imogen asked, puzzled.
She had not met Grandma May and even if she did, she had no recollection.
However, Grandma May must have observed and investigated her before choosing her as Dylan's future wife. The old lady had passed a picture of Imogen to Dylan and told him to pursue her.
"I don't know. Although Nana is old, she still travels a lot. We can't stop her. Luckily, she's healthy and even looks like she's in her sixties."
Dylan was clueless as to how Grandma May decided on Imogen either.
Even Hayden and Camryn were curious about it. They did not know when Grandma May chose them.
"Is that why you approached and pursued me? After what you did, you probably wouldn't believe yourself if you said you weren't wooing me." Dylan pressed his lips together and nodded. "I admit that I've tried to woo you."
It was then that he realized Imogen matched her in many aspects. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
However...
"Then why did you disappear and ignore me after some time? Are you playing hard to get?"
Dylan kept quiet.
He was not playing hard-to-get. He simply realized that he preferred to be with his little fox. However, he still forced himself to approach Imogen because he did not want to disappoint his nana. He was trying to develop feelings for Imogen by wooing her.
Obviously, that did not work out.
He still preferred being with Chameleon Fox.
"Do you like someone else?"
Imogen was not a fool. She could sense Dylan's hesitation.
"I... I'm not clear on my feelings yet," said Dylan with a bitter smile.
"No matter what, I've wronged you, Ms. Doyle. I've been giving you mixed signals. I understand why you wen to my sister-in-law to complain.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Doyle. Please accept my sincerest apology."
Dylan apologized to Imogen from the bottom of his heart. Imogen's anger dissipated after listening to his honest words.
She returned to her seat opposite Dylan's and finished her alcohol. She gestured at Dylan to pass her the bottle. After refilling her glass, she leaned back and took small sips while looking at him. S
Her face was unreadable.
"Who is she?" Imogen suddenly asked.
"I want to know who my love rival is and battle it out with her. Even if I lose, I want it to be convincing."
Imogen refused to give up on Dylan just like that. She wanted to compete with the other woman fair and square until he made his choice.
