Richest Mogul

Richest Mogul 1155

In the past few days, Helena had heard a rumor that Austin had changed his assistant. He wondered if Natalie had suddenly realized she wanted to return to Jeremy.

Hence, Jeremy was particularly sensitive about the incident that night. The thought made her let out a self–deprecating smile.

After leaving Sullance Group, Skylar headed straight home. On her way, she happened to pass by a popular deli that had recently gained a lot of attention.

Many people were there to try it. The pasta, paired with a secret sauce, was undeniably tempting. Even some celebrities and social media influencers stopped by for a taste.

With nothing else to do, she parked her car and got in line.

While waiting, she snapped a photo and sent it to Joe. “I just found a trending deli. I’ll try out. If it’s good, I’ll take you here when you’re back.”

“Skylar?” A male voice, filled with surprise, called out to her. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Skylar looked up at the person who called her name. When she saw it was Claudio, her expression immediately darkened.

It seemed today would not be lucky for her. Encountering Claudio was the last thing she wanted.

On the other hand, Claudio lit up at the sight of her. He never expected that a casual trip to grab some pasta would lead him to run into Skylar.

“Looks like we’re quite fated, huh?”

Skylar glanced at the long line ahead of her. It would take another half an hour before she

reached the front.

After a moment’s hesitation, she decided to leave. Just a couple of steps away, she was blocked by Claudio, who was furious at being ignored.

“Skylar! Didn’t you hear me calling you?”

She lifted her gaze to Claudio, her tone flat as she replied, “Move aside.”

Claudio was quite handsome. Standing at six feet and one inch tall and wearing designer clothes, anyone who didn’t know him could easily see he was a trust fund baby.

Skylar’s indifferent attitude left his female companion, Sasha Robson, astonished. “How can you speak to Mr. Martin like that?”

Claudio felt angry and frustrated. He had called Skylar twice before, only to have her hang up on him both times, and now she was outright ignoring him.

Joe had broken up with her, yet she still acted so high and mighty. “I’m giving you a chance to apologize,” Claudio declared, trying to assert his authority.

Many beautiful women seemed aloof, appearing as though they looked down on everyone and wouldn’t be easily swayed by money. But in reality, it was simply a matter of how much money was offered. Once the price was right, he could have his way with them in bed.

In his eyes, Skylar was just another woman who seemed a bit more stubborn than the rest. She thought she was special just because she had been with Joe.

No matter what, he would conquer Skylar. He wanted her to compare him and Joe–to see who was truly superior.

Skylar looked at Claudio as if he were an idiot and felt no need to waste her breath. She pushed him away with a firm shove.

Claudio was taken aback by the force of her push. “Skylar.”

She turned to glance at him. “If you come any closer, I’ll report you for harassment. I recorded our previous phone conversations, so I suggest you don’t call me again.”

Claudio’s expression darkened immediately. No woman had ever dismissed him like that before. She dared to threaten him to call the police. He wondered if she had lost her mind, thinking Joe would protect her. The idea seemed absurd to him.

Sasha stared at Skylar in disbelief. Everyone in their circle knew who Claudio was, and few dared offend someone from the Martin family. This woman was either foolish or incredibly

brave.

“I’ll be waiting for the day you come to beg me. I can assure you, Joe will never take If you think you can rely on him, you’re dreaming! Besides…” Claudio started but quickly stopped as he realized he had said too much.
