Chapter 54
Nelson could not resist. He truly wanted to kiss Sabrina.
Sabrina rolled her eyes dramatically before saying scornfully, "Are you out of your mind?"
Even in her fury, he found her irresistibly enchanting. The more she resisted, the more he craved for her.
Nelson leaned in effortlessly, trapping Sabrina in the driver's seat. With her back pressed against the car door, she pushed him away with her palm.
"Don't come any closer. You're dirty."
She still had to go into the office later.
"You used to dress up nicely and parade around me. Wasn't it because you wanted me to kiss you?"
It turned out that Nelson had noticed her in the past. However, he was not interested enough. That was why he ignored her then.
Sabrina couldn't tell if she was sad about it.
"You said it yourself, that was before. I don't want that anymore."
Nelson didn't like being rejected but was in high spirits that day. Thus, he went along with it. He seized Sabrina's wrists and pinned them above her head.
Sabrina's breath hitched when his muscular body pressed against her. She glared at him.
"I really want to right now…"
His warm breath brushed against her lips.
Assuming she was bothered by his relationship with Pamela, Nelson looked into her eyes and remarked, "A little dirt doesn't ruin the apple. You can always wash it off."
Sabrina had told Ronaldo the same thing at the industrial park. Yet, hearing Nelson say it with such a tone made her feel he was utterly shameless.
Just as Nelson's lips were about to touch hers, she turned away and snapped, "You're a rotten apple now!"
They would already be divorced if it weren't for the two accidents. Sabrina was uncomfortable with such intimacy and flirtation.
Despite Nelson's good mood, her continued lack of interest in his advances had dampened his enthusiasm. He released her, settled into the passenger seat of her car, and stretched his long legs out, saying nothing.
Sabrina glanced at his cold expression and knew that he was upset. Nevertheless, she was no longer concerned about his happiness.
"I need to go to the office."
The corner of Nelson's lips curled into a smirk at her dismissal. He found it impressive how his wife could ignite his desires while remaining detached.
…
Ronaldo felt secondhand embarrassment as he watched Nelson get kicked out of the car.
He scratched his head and remarked, "Gerald's scans are out. Are you still concerned about him?"
Nelson sighed at the mention of Gerald. The latter had taken quite a beating and was still limping when he walked away.
Nelson returned to the hospital, took the scans from the doctor, and picked up his medication.
As he was about to leave, Pamela arrived fully dressed.
Nelson furrowed his brows as he glanced at her. She was adorned in designer labels yet wore a mask and hat. She gave off a presence that seemed as though a celebrity had arrived.
"Didn't I tell you not to come?" Nelson coldly said, his gaze intense.
"I heard you were injured…"
Pamela looked at him with concern. She quickly noticed what seemed like a cut on his lip.
Nelson had always appeared aloof and dignified. She couldn't recall a time when he ever appeared that miserable. To make matters worse, he was in this state because of Sabrina.
"Are you a doctor?" Nelson asked curtly as if he didn't notice the worry etched on Pamela's face. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
He was displeased by her uninvited visit.
Nelson walked away. But before long, he turned back and approached her.
Pamela's gloomy spirits lifted instantly.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"Since you have so much free time, why not go for the Breeze Group shoot?"
Pamela's mood plummeted to rock bottom once more. She meekly replied with an "Okay".
She was overwhelmed with self-pity as she watched Nelson's figure retreat indifferently.
She had actually arrived long ago. Pamela had witnessed Nelson getting into Sabrina's car. She also saw his tender expression that he could not suppress.
Except when talking about the person he was searching for, this was the first time Pamela had seen him display such an expression.
For years, she had observed Nelson's lack of concern for Sabrina. Yet, Pamela could not tell when he started to care.
