Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 43

“It’s too late tonight, let him stay here for one night and find the other person tomorrow.”

Jesse was much gentler now, not as cold as before.

Back at the Pascall Villa, Nydia stretched and yawned. It was already past eleven at night.

“Jesse, do you want to have a late night snack?”

After a whole night of turmoil, she was really hungry, and Nydia’s cooking was really delicious.

“Okay.”

Nydia smiled happily, “Great, wait for me.”

After she had been busy in the kitchen for a while, she brought out a Salad Nicoise. Just as she walked out, Jesse smelled the aroma.

Jesse took a bite and unconsciously took another one.

“Is it okay?”

“Um, not bad.”

“If you can say it’s not bad, then it’s really not bad.”

Looking at Jesse eating so much, Nydia suddenly felt a sense of accomplishment.

Watching Jesse eat, Nydia couldn’t help but think about how she used to dislike him so much. He was so handsome, even when he wasn’t angry, he still looked a bit cool. His features were really impeccable. If his leg could be healed, he would probably have a great figure too.

Jesse looked up and met Nydia’s eyes, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

“Do I have food on my face?”

“No, I’m just admiring your beauty.”

“…”

He didn’t respond and continued eating.

Since his injury, his appetite had not been good. But recently, since Nydia started cooking, he found that his appetite was gradually improving and he was eating more than before.

While they were eating, they heard a sleepy voice.

“Daddy, Mommy, what are you eating?”NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Nydia and Jesse turned their heads and saw Molly in her pajamas, with her eyes barely open and her little nose constantly moving towards the scent.

The two immediately chuckled. Molly was such foodie.

“Molly, we’re eating Salad Nicoise,” Nydia went over and picked up Molly, who hadn’t put on her slippers when she came out.

As soon as she heard about food, Molly’s eyes widened. “Wow, you guys are having a midnight snack! I want to have some too! It looks so delicious,” she said, already drooling.

Nydia was about to give her some to try, but Jesse said sternly, “It’s too late to eat. Go back to sleep.”

“But Daddy, Mommy is still eating,” Molly pouted.

“We’re adults, you’re a child. It’s different,” Jesse replied with a straight face.

Nydia sighed. This was Jesse, saying things for your own good but making people unhappy. She now knew why she couldn’t get along with him in the past. He often didn’t like to explain himself.

“Molly, you’re still young and your stomach is fragile. Eating so late will give you a tummy ache. Daddy and Mommy are just hungry after finishing work and didn’t intentionally eat secretly.”

“Mommy promises to make this for you and your brother tomorrow morning, okay?”

“Okay, Mommy is the best!” Molly hugged Nydia’s neck and gave her a kiss on the cheek, then turned to Jesse. “Daddy is not good, Daddy is mean!”

“Molly, you can’t say that. Daddy is also doing it for your own good, just expressing it in the wrong way. You can teach Daddy more in the future,” Nydia said.

“Okay, I’ll criticize Daddy tomorrow. Good night, Mommy.” Molly said before going to bed.
