Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 253

Naomi's attention was on other people. However, she thought Dylan was acting a little strange since he kept looking at her. He would also avert his gaze whenever she looked at him.

She frowned when she noticed he was pursing his lip as if he wanted to suppress his urge to laugh.

What was going on with him? Naomi was confused, but she did not think much about it. She decided to ask him after work. It was pointless to overthink.

Time went by quickly. Soon, it was five in the evening—the end of the day.

They had also concluded the setup problem.

Dylan looked at the time and said, "It's five. Everyone, go, eat, and have some good rest. We will enter the next phase tomorrow."

Everyone nodded. Soon, everyone got in the car.

Before getting into the car, Naomi called out to Dylan. She had something to talk to him about. Dylan was not surprised. He bade farewell to the others before approaching her. He asked, "What is it, Naomi?"

He looked like he was about to laugh again when he was in front of Naomi. He also had a twinkle in his eyes. He seemed to be waiting for something good to happen, so much so that he could not hide his joy.

Naomi looked at Dylan and asked, "Is something going on?"

"What?" Dylan blinked and pretended to be surprised. "What's going on?" Before Naomi could answer, Dylan said quickly, "Just tell me."

Then, he seemed to have thought of something. He quickly said, "Naomi, where is your friend? Get them to join us for dinner—the more, the merrier."

Naomi could tell something was wrong with Dylan, but he refused to tell her. She could not press on further since he did not want to tell her.

"It's fine. I've already invited my friend to dinner tonight. You two go ahead. We want to walk around Herland after dinner."

Dylan nodded. "You're right. She's a lady. She doesn't know us. It would be rather awkward for her to dine with us. You two have fun."

Naomi was stunned.

Lady? Why did he say that her friend was a lady?"

Dylan noticed Naomi's surprise. He pretended to feign ignorance. "What is it? Did I say something wrong?"

Naomi snapped back to her senses. She looked at Dylan's seemingly innocent yet cheeky gaze. She said, "Nothing. Let's go."

"Oh, okay." Dylan could not help but smile again. Naomi clearly did not want him to know that her friend was a man.

Was she worried about Scott?

Dylan felt as if Scott would have a field day.

He was dying from laughter.

Dylan and Naomi got in the same car. Naomi wanted Dylan to take her to the main road where she could get a taxi to the old city walls. However, Dylan did the same thing as he did at noon. He got the chauffeur to stop him by the side of the road. He would go to the restaurant alone.

However, before getting out of the car, Dylan gave his chauffeur some instructions. "Listen to Naomi. Take her and her friend wherever they wish. Alright?"

The chauffeur nodded. "Alright."

Soon, the car door closed. Dylan waved goodbye to Naomi from the outside.

Naomi frowned again.

What made Dylan so happy?

The car drove away. Dylan quickly vanished from her view. Naomi retracted her gaze yet again. She reasoned that it was best not to overthink it.

She would do exactly what she was about to do.

She took out her phone and checked the time. She was about to text Charles to tell him when she would arrive.

However, she received a message just as she tapped into her inbox.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
