Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 232

Chapter 232

Scott did not even excuse himself to take Jay's call. Instead, he answered it while Naomi was still in the room, so of course, Naomi overheard his conversation. She paused when she heard this but then continued clearing her desk.

She was not at all surprised that he would be leaving soon. After all, he had stayed in Herland to care for her for so many days, so it was about time for him to go. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

By the time Scott got off the call, Naomi had packed her work bag and was ready to go. The two of them had a quick breakfast and then made their way to the hospital for Naomi's appointment.

"You're recovering well. Everything looks fine. You'll recover in no time, as long as you don't sprain your foot again," the doctor said to Scott after checking the x-ray of Naomi's foot and examining it judiciously.

Scott glared at him and said, "Is there anything else we need to take note of?"

"Of course. Although she's doing fine, she really shouldn't be on her feet for too long every day. Also, she should avoid walking on uneven ground to prevent a possible second injury."

"Alright, understood. Thanks, doctor."

After her checkup, Naomi and Scott went to Lucky Street where Dylan and the rest of Naomi's colleagues were. Since they had gone to Naomi's doctor's appointment, they did not join the tour from the start and instead opted to meet them at Lucky Street. As soon as they got into the car, Scott called Dylan to ask him their exact location, to which Dylan gave him. Scott turned to the driver and instructed him to drop them off at the East Gate of Lucky Street.

"Yes, sir." The driver started the car and brought them there.

Naomi thought Scott would leave her once they were done with the doctor's appointment since he had already received calls about work. Therefore, she was surprised when they set off to Lucky Street together.

Perhaps he would drop her off there and leave once she was safely in Dylan's hands.

The hospital was a distance away from Lucky Street, and with the morning traffic, the entire journey took almost half an hour.

When Scott and Naomi got out of the car at the East Gate, they immediately caught sight of Dylan and the rest. They were standing in front of the famous statue at the East Gate, scrutinizing the sculpture.

Dylan, who was telling them about the statue's history, caught sight of Scott and Naomi and grinned. "They're here."

Everyone turned in their direction and smiled when they saw it was Scott and Naomi, with Quentin beaming the widest of them all. He had noticed Scott meticulously taking care of Naomi over the past few days and was rather impressed.

Since Naomi could not walk on her sprained foot, Scott carried her everywhere in his arms or wheeled her around to join the group's activities. Quentin was rather happy to see how much Scott cared about her. He had taken up the role of Naomi's caretaker without a single complaint, even though he could very well have hired someone else to take care of her.

Knowing what a busy man Scott was, Quentin knew that Scott must have declined a lot of meetings and turned down his work just to be by Naomi's side. He could not lament how dependable this man was. How lucky Dean was to find such a devoted and caring son-in-law!

Chandler also caught sight of them. Scott was handsome and trustworthy, whereas Naomi was elegant and beautiful. The two of them were a match made in heaven.

Chandler could not help glancing at Dylan and frowned when he saw the mischievous grin on Dylan's face. How he wished his own grandson could learn to be even half as mature as Scott was!

Naomi and Scott greeted everyone when they arrived. Dylan grinned and asked, "So, how's everything? You seem to have recovered well."

Even though he was asking Naomi, his gaze was on Scott. He had now gotten into a new hobby, which was to watch Scott and Naomi interact with each other every day like a loving couple.
