Chapter 220
Chapter 220
Dylan cowered back to his seat with a straight face. However, his silence quickly broke as he started laughing again.
"I can't! I can't! You can even call Belle if you want to, but I'm going to laugh as much as I want! Hahaha!"
The silence in the car was broken by Dylan's laughter. The atmosphere relaxed.
Scott watched him laugh before looking out of the window.
At that moment, the skies were dark, and the lights in the cities shone brightly. He looked at the lights casting a bright glow all around the city.
He narrowed his eyes.
Three years. More than a thousand nights. More than 20000 hours. He had indeed wasted them all.
…
Naomi headed to the pharmacy to buy medicine for a potential flu. It was those that she always prepared with her.
Sometimes, people would just fall sick. These medicines would quicken their recovery.
After all, being sick would always be an unpleasant experience. Getting well sooner would make one feel better.
Once she was done, the chauffeur took her back to the car. Dylan was no longer laughing, but the atmosphere in the car was clearly different than before. Naomi noticed that the moment she got into the car.
However, the atmosphere was quite relaxed. There was even joy in them. Naomi subconsciously looked at Dylan. She could clearly see the smile on his face as though something amused him.
Seeing Naomi getting in the car, Dylan said, "What did you buy, Naomi? Let me have a look."
Naomi handed the medicine to him and said, "Just some pills for fever and some alcohol swabs."
Dylan raised an eyebrow and took the medicine out. He looked at them before looking at Scott. "Scott, Naomi is afraid that you might catch a cold. She bought all the medicine for cough, sore throat, and fever, even Vitamin C effervescent tablets."
Scott looked at the medicine and hummed in response.
Dylan fought off the urge to laugh at Scott's deadpan gaze. Scott was always putting up a cold act.
"You're amazing, Naomi. Scott is lucky to marry you! Really lucky!" Dylan stressed on the last sentence. He was already openly mocking.
Scott looked at Dylan and said, "Mm. You don't have to be envious."
"Pfft!" Dylan laughed once more. How could he hold back when Scott insisted on putting up a cool act?
Dylan felt like he was going to die of laughter that night.
Naomi was a little confused at Dylan, particularly how he laughed at Scott. She was sure something had happened before she returned, but what was it?
Regardless, she did not think much about it. She kept the medicine. She looked at the time and said, "There's nothing going on at night, right? If there's nothing, we'd like to go back." Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
She naturally meant Scott and herself.
Naomi was mindful that Scott's shirt was wet due to the rain and had not changed out of it. Fearing that Scott would have a fever, she wanted to return to the hotel so he could get changed. He was to wash up, and then take some Vitamin C effervescent tablets.
Dylan looked at Naomi and stopped laughing. He looked at Scott with a smile and said, "There—"
"I have something on," Scott interrupted Dylan.
Dylan was stunned, and so was Naomi.
