Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 209

Chapter 209

"No matter what I do, she'll only conceive it as an act of love. Is it strange that she'd say such things?"

Dylan's mouth gaped open. He did not know what to say. "A—Are you that confident?"

Dylan looked at Jonas.

Jonas was a man of few words, even fewer than Scott. While Scott and Dylan were talking, Jonas did not say a single word.

Nonetheless, Dylan knew that Jonas was a smart man despite being silent most of the time. Jonas knew all of them well and could often read their minds.

"What are you planning to do?" Jonas asked and looked at Scott. A rare occurrence.

Dylan also looked at Scott, though nervously. What was Scott going to do?

Olivia was not any ordinary woman. She was not that easy to deal with, especially since she had spent so many years on Scott. It would be difficult for her to get her off of Scott's back.

It was troublesome. Too troublesome.

Scott moved his fingers on the glass. He swirled his glass, and his gaze darkened. "I'm in no rush."

Jonas immediately understood. He looked away and continued drinking in silence.

Dylan, on the other hand, was confused. What did Scott mean when he said he was not in a rush?

At half past nine, the alarm went off, breaking the silence in the room. Naomi stopped working and grabbed her phone over. She looked out of the window.

It was already dark. The silence in the night has spread around the city.

Naomi kept her things and slowly got up to the walk-in closet. She grabbed a change of clothes and brought it to the bathroom.

Naomi had to take a much longer time to wash up due to her leg, but she was never one to be impatient. Since her leg was injured, she took her time to wash up.

The moment she came out of the bathroom, the door to the room clicked open.

She looked over.

Scott had just entered. They entered the room at the same time and looked at each other.

Scott was a little stunned. He looked at her face. She had washed her hair and blow-dried it. Her hair was fluffy, yet it was combed back tidily.

Perhaps because of the heat of the hairdryer, or the heat from the shower, but her face was a little flushed.

He entered the room and closed the door behind him.

Naomi also came to her senses. She looked away and headed to the bed. She thought that he was not returning that night, just like the night before. She never expected him to return.

However, she was not surprised at all. Oftentimes, it was just her own conjecture. She was used to it.

Scott walked over to her and picked her up, like every time. He did it swiftly. Before Naomi could react, he had her under his control.

Naomi subconsciously grabbed his shirt, but something made her eyebrows furrow.

He reeked of alcohol.

She looked up at him and stiffened.

He was looking at her with an extremely darkened gaze, like a black hole sucking everything in.

Her chest tightened, and she stopped moving. She was terrified of his gaze, not knowing what was happening.

In the end, she did not even look at him. She subconsciously looked away. Her clutch on his shirt tightened as well.
