Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 193

Chapter 193

Amelia promised she would call her, but she was yet to do so. Naomi glanced at her phone. There were no missed calls or unread messages. It would appear that Amelia got distracted and forgot about it once more, but it was not necessarily a bad thing.

She would be in trouble if Amelia happened to call while Scott was with her.

Naomi continued to organize her notes. When Scott came out of the shower, he caught sight of Naomi sitting at the desk, immersed in her work. The warm sunlight spilled through the windows and illuminated the entire room, with Naomi sitting right in the middle. Her hair was scooped up into a messy ponytail, and tendrils of loose hair were tucked behind her ears. She was writing something in her notebook, and she appeared so engrossed in her work that nothing could tear her away.

She did not ask him a single question about why he left the night before and did not express any concern for his return. It was as though Scott's existence had nothing to do with her at all.

She was cruel and heartless, but at the same time, Scott could not blame her.

She did not do anything wrong. Just as Dylan said, it served Scott right to get treated like this.

Scott went into the walk-in closet and put on a fresh pair of shirt and trousers.

Scott neglected her for three years, and it served him right to be treated the same way.

By the time Scott was ready, Naomi also finished her work. The two of them went out for breakfast before heading to the riverbank of Le Soleil to meet Chandler and the rest.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Olivia opened her eyes slowly and gazed around at her unfamiliar surroundings. As she finally pieced together what happened, she struggled to sit up in her bed. The nurse who was looking after her quickly helped her.

Olivia paused and turned to stare at the strange woman next to her. She was a woman in her fifties, and it was clear she was a nurse who was sent to look after her.

Olivia's face lit up in excitement. She glanced around the room but did not find Scott. Despite that, she was already satisfied with the sight of the nurse before her. This meant that Scott came to her aid after all. He sent her to the hospital and assigned someone to take care of her.

It did not matter if he did not show up himself—at least he cared.

Olivia smiled and sat up with the help of the nurse. She took a sip of water from the glass the nurse handed her and asked, "How long have you been here?"

"Since last night," the nurse replied.

Olivia grinned as she handed the glass back to the nurse. "Tell me everything that happened last night. Did anyone come to see me? Who was the one who assigned you here? What did they say to you? Tell me everything."

"Very well then." The nurse put down the glass and began describing to Olivia the events of the night before. Olivia's smile grew wider with every minute of listening to the story.

The nurse looked after her since the night before, and whenever something came up, she would summon the doctor who came immediately to her aid.

There was a man who was standing guard outside the door, and every time the doctor came to see her, he would follow and then report her condition to someone on the phone.

The nurse did not know who the person on the other end of the line was, but Olivia knew it was Scott.

He was the only one who would care so much about her.

It would seem that the injuries she inflicted on herself were worth it.

At the thought of this, Olivia raised her arm and smiled as she stared at her bandaged arm.

'I know you've had your doubts about me ever since what happened, Scott, but I'm willing to slowly break down your defenses again. I'm going to make you accept me again.'

Olivia clenched her fists, digging her nails into her flesh. Despite the pain, she refused to let go and instead grinned even wider at the sensation. Her expression was that of a triumphant one.

Three years. Scott and Naomi went three years without bearing any children. What could be the possible explanation?

He was still in love with her. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
