Chapter 1306 The Archean Age
Chapter 1306 The Archean Age
After a few days, the round ball still showed no changes. With it, the crowd didn't disperse either.
During this period of time, there were also some top-level Celestial God Realm masters who heard the
news and rushed over, but all of them were scared away by the strong auras in the area. Even two
masters who had newly reached the Superior God Realm left after they took a look.
No one in the Tussle Region dared to offend those great masters in the forest.
Darren and his friends, on the other hand, made a cave at the top of the mountain, and patiently
awaited the result.
Once could tell Darren was waiting for the fun of it, but Akbar was definitely not. He was fretting from
his nervousness and was unable to calm down.
"Why hasn't the beast come out yet?" Akbar sat aside and sighed, dejected.
"Akbar, you're a superior god. You're supposed to be one of the strongest ones here. Why the hell are
you sighing?" Darren couldn't stand it anymore.
"What the hell are you talking about? My life is on the line here. How could I possibly take it easy?"
"Then tell me, who did you offend before?" asked Darren.
"It's no use telling you. Anyway, whether I can live depends on this moment. As long as I succeed in
completing the task and obtain the Archean Beast, I can rest easy," explained Akbar.
"Do you mean your mission was given by the person who wants to kill you?"
"Of course." He then rolled his eyes at Darren and shook his head.
"I thought the leader of the Blood Abyss Sect arranged this." Darren then understood, and said, "It feels
that you have a pretty good relationship with the leader of the Blood Abyss Sect. Why don't you just
ask him to help you fight the enemy?"
"Him? He is far from being able to defeat that person, unless Lord Starry Sword also helps out.
Otherwise, there is no chance he'd win that fight. But do you really think Lord Starry Sword would help
me just like that?"
Akbar's words surprised Darren.
No wonder he was so afraid of that man. Even Lord Starry Sword alone couldn't defeat him!
"You're saying this man is more powerful than Lord Starry Sword? Are you overselling him or what?"
Darren still had a level of disbelief in Akbar's words.
Lord Starry Sword was a renowned figure in the Primitive Wilderness. He had comprehended a little of
the supreme level sword intent before entering the Deputy God Realm. This was an amazing feat in
itself.
Who could possibly be better than him?
"I couldn't care less if you don't believe me. You wouldn't understand anyway." Akbar decided not to
reveal too much information about the man.
"Well, I guess I believe you. In this case, if you want to survive, you'll have to complete this mission."
"Humph, now you know why I'm worrying so much!"
"It's useless to be anxious anyway. Give it your all and fight for it. Failure is death anyway, ha-ha,"
Darren replied in a neutral tone knowing it was none of his business.
"If I'm going to die, I may as well kill you before that happens then!" said Akbar angrily.
"What did I do to you?" Darren said with an innocent look.
"Nothing. I just don't like you," said Akbar lightly.
"Oh no, forgive me please. Please don't take me with you when you die, or who else will bury your
dead body?"
"Fuck off! How dare you curse me!" Akbar shoved Darren square in the chest.
"Hey! You hit me!" Darren put his palm on his aching chest.
"You think you can bully me?" replied Akbar with a light smirk.
"Forgive me, I'm so very scared of you. Alright. You're indeed very powerful." Darren said this in a
subtly sarcastic tone.
While Darren and Akbar were talking, some light was shining up into the sky and then clouds appeared
from the bottom of the mountain. The atmosphere became ancient and bleak, as if ages had passed.
Akbar's face darkened at the sight.
When he looked down, his natural aura instantly filled the air. He had completely changed, and there
was a feeling of awe and affinity around him.
"Is the ball broken?" Darren's tone had become serious as well.
"Yes." Akbar nodded his head and added, "There are three slight cracks with an Archean aura around
it. I guess it's really an Archean Beast in the ball."
"But I'm curious why this thing is in the ball after it killed a Celestial God Realm warrior," said Darren.
"It's not strange at all. Didn't you see how those great masters didn't move an inch? There's a strong
killing array around the ball. One misstep, and they'll risk suffering losses. If they're paranoid, even
more so a celestial god."
"Okay, I got it." Darren nodded. No wonder these Superior God Realm masters were waiting for the ball
to break into pieces. No one dared to take the lead.
"Sir, I have a question to ask."
Murphy who had been silent all this time rose to his feet.
"What is it?"
"What confused me is why all the superior gods have to fight for the beast? What use is there when
you obtain it?" That was what Murphy couldn't understand.
Even if there was an Archean Beast inside, what use would it have?
"Ha-ha. The Archean Beast is a peerless treasure. If we get it, it will be of great use. You can refine its Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Archean bloodline, or use its blood to refine pills, or perhaps obtain Archean vital energy from it.
Otherwise, why do you think those superior gods would even fight for it. It has so many uses."
"So that's how it is," Murphy answered.
The Archean Age was an extremely long time ago. At the very start, it was the Chaotic Age. From
chaos, the world was formed, and the first group of creatures appeared in the world. They were
powerful beyond compare. Unfortunately, the newly formed world could not bear their powerful
pressure and was on the verge of collapse.
Later on, the Balance Law was born amidst the chaos, effectively wiping out all of those powerful
creatures.
Hundreds of millions of years later was the Primeval Age. The newborn creatures born in this age also
had endless power. But with the effect of the Balance Law, no one could be strong enough to destroy
the world, so the age went on for a long time.
After another billions of years, some gifted new creatures were born. They were born strong and could
absorb the residual power from the initial chaos. After ten million years of evolution, they became
stronger and stronger, and finally killed most of the creatures from the Primeval Age, starting an entirely
new era.
This age was called the Archean Age.
Creatures of the Archean Age, in a strict sense, were generally stronger than those of the Primeval
Age, and only second to those of the Chaotic Age. However, in the Archean Age, several living beings
had been invincible and grew more and more powerful. Finally, because they were too powerful, they
triggered the Balance Law, and were immediately killed. After that, there was unrest among the
different races, and a war between all races broke out. As a result, the entire Archean Age was
destroyed.
In the following ages, there had been very few creatures of the Archean Age that had been discovered.
Only a few of the creatures had been captured by powerful cultivators. The rest of the creatures had
either disappeared or died. There was absolutely no trace of them.
