Chapter 1286 Return To The Tussle Region (Part Two)
"Well, not exactly. Currently, he's the owner of the Ninth Precipitous Mountain. Because of his
presence, no one dares to offend the Ninth Precipitous Mountain, including the government of the
Tussle Region," Murphy elaborated.
"He's that powerful and influential? Then, he must be a cultivator of the Superior God Realm." Darren
was thrilled and got more curious at the same time.
"I'm not sure about that. Actually, there is so little information about him," Murphy replied while
shrugging his shoulders.
"Hmm. If I can get a chance, I think I'd like to go to the Ninth Precipitous Mountain and visit this man,"
Darren said with eagerness.
"Forget it. He never agreed to meet with just anyone, unless he's interested in that person.
Furthermore, I strongly suggest that in the following days, you should just stay at home. I will spread
the news that you've been out, and all you need to do is hide and cultivate in seclusion. You need to
bolster your strength further," Murphy urged.
"Okay, I get it. I'll go ahead and catch up with my friends," Darren understood the current situation and
quickly agreed.
Murphy was relieved that Darren was willing to cooperate and said, "All right. I'll contact you if anything
new happens."
Darren just nodded and eventually went out of the room.
Currently, his friends were settling in a separate courtyard within the sect.
"Darren! You finally showed up! What were you doing these past few days?" Finley quickly rushed
towards him as soon as he saw him approaching.
"Where have you been? You just disappeared and didn't even tell us where you were going and when
you would come back!" Lindsay also shouted while knitting her eyebrows. Although this still didn't affect
her breath-taking beauty.
"Don't overreact. I was just gone for a while to heal my wounds. By the way, how's your cultivation
going? Did you make sufficient progress?" Darren tried to dodge their questioning by changing the
topic.
"Well, it's fine. It's not like you've been gone for too long. How can we make such huge progress within
such a short amount of time?" Finley answered in a dubious and boisterous manner.
"Don't try to fool me, you lazy idiot. Your cultivation level was much higher than mine when we were still
in the Lothlann Continent. Look at what happened now. You're far behind me! When will you start
taking this seriously?" Darren rolled his eyes, knowing that he still had this complacent attitude.
"Hey! It's not entirely my fault. I do have an exceptional talent, but you know that some unknown force
is suppressing me in the Primitive Wilderness. It's hard to make any progress in here." Finley explained
his case.
"Excuses! You're a sore loser. I won't even accept you as my servant even if you beg me!" Lindsay
stared at Finley with disdainful eyes.
"Fine. You're much better than me. I'm not competing with you anyway." Finley just accepted Lindsay's
insults openly. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Argh! I can't even stand looking at you!" Lindsay's face reddened as she fumed in anger.
"Why are you so mad? I'm still good-looking and also got a powerful real body. Why can't you be nicer
to me?" Finley asked with pouted lips.
"Stay away from me! I hate pathetic losers like you the most!" Lindsay retorted.
"What did you say?" Finley also started to get pissed.
"That's enough, you two. I actually have something important to say, so I want you to listen carefully,"
Darren finally butted in. What Finley said earlier got his attention. He realized that the suppression
Finley was experiencing might be caused by his real body. However, at the moment, he had more
pressing news to say, so he put Finley's matter aside for now.
"Everyone, you can't go out and loiter around in the following days. The Gambling King is making his
move to look for me. It means that you may also get caught up in this if you won't be vigilant enough,"
Darren seriously warned them.
"Well, I won't go out as long as Lindsay doesn't go out," Finley said with a smile.
"Shut up. I have nothing to do with you!" Lindsay easily got irritated again.
Darren let out a sigh as the two started quarreling in front of him.
"I'm having a headache because of you two. Just don't go out! I've already told you what I have to say."
After that, Darren quickly left both of them and went to his secret room to begin his cultivation. In his
mind, Murphy was right. He still needed to improve his strength a lot if he wanted to get out of the
Tussle Region as soon as possible.
Then, a few months had passed, and it seemed like everything was fine.
Until one day, the branch of the Starry Sword Sect was disturbed by strange noises out of nowhere.
Darren quickly opened his eyes and rushed out of the secret room to see what was happening.
"Murphy, what is going on?" he asked the moment that he got a hold of Murphy.
"A group of people attacked our branch and killed hundreds of our disciples. Even my daughter was
taken away!"
Murphy's eyes were filled with rage and frustration. Darren could sense his killing intent that was about
to burst out at any moment.
"Did you catch any of them?" Darren asked.
"That's the most exasperating part. All of them managed to escape. They said that there were ten
master hands in total," Murphy answered while clenching his fists.
"This is what I feared the most. It must be the Gambling King!" Darren concluded without a second
thought.
Swoosh!
Without any warning, Murphy soared into the sky.
"Master Murphy, wait!" Darren exclaimed as his eyes widened.
