No More Waiting, She Chooses Love

Chapter 667

Chapter 667

Dustin furrowed his brows, his voice filled with concern, "Felicia, I know you're still grappling with the loss of Ernest, but don't let it consume you. If you're feeling lonely or troubled, you can always come to me."

His gaze was intense, and his expression sincere. His feelings were genuine, yet his love was becoming dangerously obsessive.

I lowered my eyes slightly, "Dustin, I don't want to cause a rift between you and Conrad. He's already reached out to me..."

"Don't worry about that. I'll take care of it," Dustin said, reaching out to hold my hand. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

The touch was warm and comforting, yet it sent a shiver down my spine. I wanted to pull away but restrained myself, meeting his gaze with a mix of fear and uncertainty, "Dustin, you know your parents' stance on us... They're against it too..."

He shook his head gently, "I already told you, missing my chance with you once was enough. This time, even if the whole world opposes us, it won't matter."

Dustin's love was bordering on obsession.

My heart raced, and I withdrew my hand, rubbing it against my jeans under the table, "But that's not what I want."

"Is it that you don't want it, or is it that you can't accept me?" Dustin asked softly.

I looked up at him, choosing silence instead of words.

Sometimes, silence is the most telling response. After a few seconds, Dustin chuckled softly, "I guess I'm being too impatient. I need to give you time."

He then served me some food, "Felicia, don't feel pressured. I've waited for years. I can wait longer, until you're ready to truly accept me."

If I wasn't aware of the things he'd done, the darkness behind his charming facade, I might have been moved.

But all I felt was dread. The more intense his obsession, the more terrifying his reaction if he couldn't have me.

"I was joking earlier. I went to Sapphire Lounge to find men, but not for myself. The company is organizing an event and needs male models with the right look and aura. I thought I might find someone suitable at Sapphire Lounge, given its all-male staff," I said with a straight face.

Dustin hummed in acknowledgment, "Then you found the right place. The men at Sapphire Lounge are indeed top-notch."

"Seems like you're quite familiar with the place," I hinted.

"A lot of big deals happen there.

Clients always want to visit, though I don't know why. It's not like they

have women there," Dustin remarked, appearing puzzled.

е

"Maybe they're just good men who go there for business without interfering with their time to relax before heading home to their wives or gidfriends," I suggested, prompting Dustin to nod.

O

"That makes sense," Dustin agreed, then asked, "Did you find someone suitable? If not, I can help. As far as I know, Sapphire Lounge's models arent allowed to take outside jobs."

"I found someone. Allen helped me," I said, watching Dustin's reaction.

He seemed surprised, "You know him?"

"Yeah, he even asked me to be his girlfriend," I added, stirring the pot intentionally.

Conflict has always been fueled by internal and external strife.

If I wanted to shake things up, I needed to nudge Dustin and Allen's relationship in the right direction.

Men, being possessive by nature, especially towards a woman they love, would react predictably.

Sure enough, Dustin offered, "He changes girlfriends like he changes clothes. If he bothers you again, let me know."

I nodded, focusing on my food as Dustin inquired, "Your company is using male models for an event? I'm curious. Can I come and see?"

He was feigning interest in the models, likely looking to sniff out something else.

I smiled broadly, "Of course."

I agreed too quickly, my mind racing. There was no event. It was just an excuse.

It seemed I might have to ask Grant to actually organize something soon.
