Chapter 4
The loud noise of the urn falling on the table startled everyone sitting at the table. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
They all widened their eyes and looked at me as if I were a monster.
The room was dead silent for two seconds.
Joanna was the first to react. She said speechlessly, “Wendy, Tyler is asking you where Charlie is. Why are you taking out an urn to curse your own son? Are you here to cause trouble and disgust others on purpose?”
Hearing this, they all glared at me in disgust.
Everyone stayed away from me, fearing being unlucky by me.
Olivia covered her chest and took a few deep breaths.
Then she pointed at me and yelled angrily, “Wendy, you’ve gone too far! Tell me, where is my precious grandson?”
“Didn’t I tell you? He’s right here!”
My emotions also churned, I was almost shouting and emphasizing.
“Wendy, have you had enough of this?”
Tyler glared at me and said furiously, “First you lied to me at the pet hospital saying that Charlie was seriously ill, and now you’re scaring people with an urn. Did I indulge you too much over the years, making you increasingly arrogant and even dare to tell such an unreasonable lie?”
I faced Tyler directly and said in a deep voice, “You can investigate and see if I’m lying.”
Tyler frowned and looked at me deeply.
As if touched by my determination, he finally took out his phone.
“Zachary, use all means to find Charlie.”
After giving the order, he hung up the phone and said sternly, “Wendy, don’t think I will believe your nonsense just because you play these tricks on me. When I find Charlie, I will definitely make you pay for your unreasonable behavior these days, and you will never see him again!”
Tyler looked at me with eyes full of anger. It obviously triggered his bottom line.
He would rather believe that I was crazy than believe that Charlie was dead.
A moment later, Tyler’s cell phone rang.
Seeing that it was Zachary calling, Tyler deliberately turned on the speakerphone to ensure that everyone could hear it.
Zachary’s trembling voice immediately resounded through the dead silence of the room. “Mr. Ford, I just found out that your son died on the day you sent him to take the SAT!”
