Chapter 2141
Chapter 2141
As he spoke, Jordan walked over to Naomi and stood beside her. Even though one of them had my face, both were wearing masks. Together, they made such a perfect couple.
At that, Naomi's smug eyes gleamed as her brows arched upwards. "Have you truly forgotten about me, Naomi Reid, your sister? We're twins by blood."
It seemed that Naomi Reid was Naomi Attwood's new identity that Jordan gave her. It seemed I still couldn't escape their efforts to force a fake relationship between her and I.
We had little reaction to show, treating everything we heard as a joke.
Aurelia, on the other hand, took it seriously. "Are you and Mum twins just like Wynn and I? My brother and I are fraternal twins, so we look different. Do you both look the same because you're both girls?"
Just as I was about to explain, Naomi beat me to it.
"That's right! Aurelia, you're so smart!" Naomi smiled with her eyebrows arched. "From now on, you and your brother can call me Aunt Naomi!"
As I stared at the woman who was using my face, I felt a pang irony in my chest.
Naomi was a nice person before. Hence, it didn't matter if she was the aunt to my children. With her evil intentions so clear, how could I allow my children to think of her as their relative?
Still, how was I going to explain this to my children?
Fortunately, Hendrix came to my rescue.
"Wynn." Hendrix's voice was low, and judging by the tone of his voice, he wasn't in a good mood.
"Dad, I'm listening," Wynn replied.
As he spoke, Hendrix didn't even blink his eyes. "Is what your uncle said true? You're unable to complete your computer schoolwork on your own?" He was implying that part of the blame was attributable to Wynn.
If he could complete his schoolwork independently, he would not have needed Jordan's help, and we could leave right away.
Though it was not a good idea to take an adult matter out on a child, I was not at liberty to say anything at this point.
Guys had their own way of resolving conflicts amongst themselves.
After all, Wynn had spent so much time with Hendrix that he knew his father's intentions like the back of his hand. After a brief pause, he responded.
"No, Dad, I can do it myself," Wynn answered. Then he gazed at Jordan and bowed respectfully. "Uncle Jordan, thank you for our previous lessons. I am now capable of solving r
my problems. I won't trouble you anymore. I don't have any questions I'd like to ask you,
solving my problems Set
including today."
Whether it was flair or fear of Hendrix, Wynn made the right choice in spite of his relationship with Jordan.
Hendrix nodded with a look of satisfaction in his eyes. Then he locked his subtle gaze on Jordan. "Did you hear what he just said?"
Jordan lifted a confusing smile as
el
he played the jolly, easy-going man he portrayed. He said, "Well, what about Naomi and Arianna reuniting? Besides, I'm going to introduce you to a new friend. Arianna, don't you miss your sister at all?"
He deliberately emphasized his words in a weird tone, which made his intentions rather unclear.
It wasn't until Aurelia spoke that I realized he was aiming for the kids.
"Isn't Aunt Naomi your sister? Isn't it normal for relatives who haven't seen each other in a long time to spend time together? I want to spend time with my brother and never be apart from him!"
"Aurelia, don't be silly. Like you, I only have a brother and no sister. Things are not what you think they are. Don't you notice that I see your uncle every day? Your uncle and I are very close, aren't we?" I explained.
"True." Though Aurelia nodded cluelessly, it did not change what she was about to say. "But you have the same face! Aunt Emma said that kids who look alike on TV are long-lost twins!"
At this point, I felt like I needed to have a talk with Emma.
I couldn't even explain myself at this point. The atmosphere turned awkward all of a sudden.
A short while later, Neal, who had been silent, suddenly spoke leisurely.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
"Miss Aurelia, the dolls you play with every day all have the same face but are not family."
"You're right, Neal. Then Aunt Naomi and Mum aren't sisters, are they?"
"Yeah."
I couldn't help but glance down unexpectedly at the boy. His face was expressionless as he stood behind Wynn. If I hadn't been so quick to turn around, I wouldn't have known that these words had come from Neal. And yet, the words did come out of his mouth, calmly and unhurriedly.
Though there was no scientific basis for such statements, it made perfect sense to Aurelia.
