Chapter 60
Chapter 60
Cheryl was so frightened that she instinctively took a few steps backward. She could not believe how much Liam had changed from what she remembered a few years ago! She had to admit she was rather terrified of him now.
“Liam Cole, you’re just an orphan! How dare you even attempt to compare yourself to us Stones?” Yafe snarled.
“Yafe Stone, you made my parents beg you for mercy. Now, you will get on your knees in front of my parents’ ashes and show your remorse for your crime!”
Yafe sneered and glanced at the urns with disdain. “Me? Get on my knees? Who do you even think you are? Why do you even think I’d do something like this for these dead people? You’re just a leftover scum that somehow survived all these years, so what right do you have to tell me what to do?”
Liam was utterly infuriated by Yafe’s condescending tone and the way he spoke about his deceased parents like they were simply corpses. His gaze turned into one filled with white-hot rage and menace, which scared Yafe momentarily. He felt as though he was staring right into the eyes of a venomous snake that would strike him at any moment!
All of a sudden, Liam whipped out a pair of throwing stars out of nowhere and sent them zipping through the air at breakneck speed. Finally, they sank into Yafe’s legs, spilling blood everywhere.
“Ah!” Yafe let out a howl of agony and felt his knees give out from beneath him. He fell onto his knees, right in front of Chester and Sadie’s ashes!
“What right do I have? I have all the right in the world!” Liam barked.
All this had happened so quickly that no one could register it until it was too late. Cheryl was so stunned by this that she immediately fell silent. The entire room was silent apart from Yafe’s cries and pants. Who would have thought that Liam would strike without warning? This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Yafe panted to catch his breath and wailed, “Ah! This hurts! I’m going to kill you! I’m going to kill you, you bastard! My legs! Oh my God!”
At the same time, the Stones’ guards all rushed forward and surrounded both Liam and Calum. When they saw them approaching, Calum stepped forward, shielding Liam behind him, and sprang into action.
Within a few seconds, all the guards had been defeated and fell to their knees in crumpled heaps. Some of the tables had been overturned during the combat. Immediately, the entire room erupted into chaos, interspersed with their cries of agony.
Everyone was so stunned that no one could utter a single word.
All of a sudden, someone murmured in puzzlement, “Who is he? Is he really the Liam Cole that I remember, the young boy who was rendered an orphan overnight and had to fend for himself?”
After all, most people remembered looking down on Liam when he was at his rock bottom. Who would have thought that he would turn into such a monster?
A split second later, Calum picked up another throwing star and sent it flying through the air and piercing the person’s throat!
Thud!
The man who had spoken and even deliberately lowered his voice until it was barely above a whisper could no longer speak with a throwing star in his throat. Blood spilled out of his wound, and his entire body tipped backward limply.
Calum gazed at him coldly and said, “Whoever insults my master will
suffer the same fate!”
