Kayson was exasperated. If he were to treat Royce now, he would charge him nothing!

Jason looked astonished as well at the fact that Kayson was already so close to Royce. As he had expected, Kayson was a truly charismatic individual who would rise, given the opportunity. Someone capable like him would shine wherever he went.

“Uncle Jason, Aunt Summers will wake up in another five to six hours, and she‘ll probably be famished then. I‘ll make a list. Get someone to prepare accordingly.”

“Alright!” Jason answered seriously, not the slightest bit slacking when it came to his beloved woman.

Kayson then dragged Halbert out of the hospital. He woke the latter up when they came to the parking lot, and the latter looked at him in horror. “W–What did you do to me!?”

“Take me to the Soulspring Group,” Kayson ordered

flatly.

Halbert was surprised, wondering if Kayson had gone crazy. Given the latter‘s expression, it seemed like he was going to find fault with the company.

Halbert could not help feeling thrilled. If Kayson were to

go on this suicide mission, it would just be a nice form of revenge for the slap Kayson gave him! It was basically suicide to seek trouble with the Soulspring Group. Despite Halbert‘s grudge, he did not reject Kayson. He took Kayson and Bryson to his car and drove both of them to the Soulspring Group‘s building. In the meeting room of Soulspring Group... The atmosphere in the meeting room today was hostile. It mainly came from the conflict between Farris and Carlson.

Carlson had produced a stack of documents –credibility unknown–and accused Farris of embezzling the company fund as well as bribing some suppliers to make a profit margin.

It enraged Farris as he argued that the documents were forged, and he cursed at Carlson, claiming that he was the one who profited using the company fund and that he and his son were the same.

The argument escalated, and the board of directors had to seek out the big boss, the director of the Soulspring Group.

The director was an old man with a balding center on his head. He wore a pair of frameless glasses and looked friendly, giving off a nice guy vibe.

The meeting room was booming with the fight so loud

that it was inducing a headache. The Soulspring Group‘s director , Harry Pether, coughed and knocked the table.

“Alright, stop fighting!”

It was only then Farris and Carlson, who were red in the face from arguing, sat down, glaring at each other. Farris spoke up fiercely. “Mr. Pether, Carlson Carling is slandering me! His accusations are nothing but that!”

Carlson scoffed. “That‘s all you got? Calling them accusations and hoping to be done? Did you forget how you accused me last time?”

Kayson had treated Farris the last time, and Carlson and Dickson had wanted to set him up for doom using the matter only for Kayson to save the day. It was Farris and Cayden who brought up some of the dirty laundry of Carlson and his son that they left.

They also fought over this in the board of directors meeting, and it ended with Omnicare Drugstore being fully under his jurisdiction. Farris knew he should not push it, so he had not fought Carlson in the meeting.

“Farris, you say that it‘s forged. What proof do you have?” Harry‘s tone was calm.

Farris‘ eyes widened a little alongside a subtle change in

his expression. “Mr. Pether, give me some time. I can prove that I‘m being wronged!”

Carlson, who sat across from him, mocked him. “Really? Or do you want time so you can destroy all the evidence?

“Farris Townsend, you‘re underestimating Mr. Pether‘s intelligence!”
