Rickard immediately pulled out his phone and called Beckham. He said, “Mr. Yoder, Royce and Livia Shore are dead. I killed them.”

Rickard said, “Yes. Two peak–level grandmasters actually protected Royce, and I almost got myself killed here.”

Beckham sounded like he was pleased. He smiled nonchalantly and said, “Great. You live up to your reputation, Grandmaster Griffin! Since you‘ve completed your mission, I shall buy you a meal!

“I shall also send you the remaining of your fee conveniently before I arrange for someone to send you home.”

Rickard said, “Sure. Thank you for taking the trouble to do this, Mr. Yoder.”

Beckham chuckled and said, “Don‘t mention it. It‘s what I should do. Let‘s head to Chispring House, a restaurant in Flax Fountain Villa.”

Rickard did not have the courage to leave, so he asked in an exploratory manner, “Mr. Yoder, is Dr. Yarde...”

Bryson said nonchalantly, “Dr. Yarde is exceptional in his healing skills. He saved my life not long ago, and that makes him my savior. If you offend him, I won‘t ever forgive you.”
