“I can’t do it, Dustin. I know nothing about medicine!” Simone quickly shook her head.
She was worried about Dustin losing.
“Don’t worry. As long as you do what I say, you’ll be fine,” said Dustin reassuringly.
Delia was furious.
Dustin was asking a complete amateur to compete against her, an intermediate physician?! This was an insult!
“If you lose, you have to crawl out of here like a dog!” she demanded viciously.
“Sure,” Dustin said.
While everyone watched, Dustin and Dylan each took a pill.
“Delia, get three grams each of graminae, red wormroot, and morning glory leaves. Grind them into powder and dissolve them in warm water. Then, let me drink it,” Dylan said.
That was the type of task even an intern could do easily, let alone an intermediate grade physician.
“I’ll do it right away,” Delia said confidently.
“Do you know how to cure the poison, boy?” Dylan looked at Dustin in amusement Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Dustin just smiled and did not reply.
This minor poison was nothing and was not even worth his attention.
“Simone, bring me a cup of warm water,” Dustin said.
“Huh? Is that it?” Simone was stunned.
“Of course not. It has to be the warm water you drank before from your thermos.” Dustin pointed at the
cute thermos she had brought with her.
Simone’s face turned red.
She opened her thermos and handed him a cup of warm water. As she watched Dustin drink the warm water from the thermos cap, she blushed.
“Alright. I’m cured of the poison,” Dustin said.
“What?!” Dylan scowled. He refused to believe it.
“Do you think you can get rid of the poison with just a sip of warm water? What a joke! If it were that simple, why would task Delia to make the antidote for me?
“You can’t lie your way out of this, boy. If you don’t get rid of the poison soon, you’ll be paralyzed!”
“I already told you that I’m cured of the poison. If you don’t believe me, then just wait and see,” Dustin said indifferently.
“Ignore him, Dr. Parker. He has always been useless. It doesn’t matter if he’s paralyzed or not.” Delia

walked over to him with a mocking smile. “Please, have this antidote.”
She handed over a cup of water.
Dylan took it and drank it.
“In less than fifteen minutes, the poison will act up, boy. This is your price for being arrogant!” he said darkly.
Dustin said nothing and sat down in a chair.
Delia and Dylan waited to see Dustin suffer and longed for the fifteen minutes to pass quickly.
Ten minutes later, suddenly, Dylan coughed up blood, and his face turned pale.
“Dr. Parker!”
The people were stunned.
Did he not take the antidote?
Meanwhile, Dustin smiled faintly. He was completely fine. He did not look poisoned in the slightest
“How could this be?!” Dylan shouted.
Delia’s face turned pale.
She had done exactly as Dylan asked. What went wrong?
“It’s because you believed Delia, who’s really only an intermediate grade physician in name. You got what you deserved,” Dustin said with a sneer.
He knew better than anyone just how bad Delia was.
After all, he was the one who pushed her to become an intermediate grade physician.
She was barely fit to be a beginner.
She had not even got the proper training for basic medicinal preparation. She could not compare to a medical student.
Dustin smiled. Under Dylan’s shocked gaze and Delia’s disbelief, he walked out.
They could not understand it. Dustin had only drunk some warm water. Why was he fine?
They did not know that Dustin had become immune to most poison years ago.
