Chapter-50: Not a friend
The whole scenario was making Allison confused. Still, she would never wish either of them to be his mate. Allison didn't want their fate like hers. Though Aztec was a friend but he was one of the dark walkers.
"I...I don't know. She might be in the pack." She tried to suppress her anxiety. Allison needed to run out of there as soon as possible. But before that she had to handle the situation at hand. So she breathed out, composing herself. "Look, Aztec. I don't know what you are saying, and I can't help you with anything. I have few friends in my old pack and Asher was a casanova. I don't know with whom he had been involved lately. He changes girls like a tissue every month. So you can't assume anything."
His Adam apple moved as rage took over him listening to her words. Allison was nervous about being caught in her own lies but she had to. To protect her friends from him. She just hoped that no one turned out to be his mate among her friends. She will talk about this to Nora and Naomi.
"Then I need to hunt your whole fucking pack to get her." He bellowed with possessiveness and strode away from there. Baffled, Allison looked at his retreating form and palmed her forehead in utter distress. Aztec was a beta wolf, he won't stay still now without hunting his mate.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Allison pursed her lips thinking These men were hell bent on destroying her old pack bit by bit. And she needed to get her friends out of there before they got killed. Though Allison didn't want the Midnight crescent moon pack to get eradicated by these beasts, as she was attached to that place and few people there. But again it was not in her control anymore.
Allison composed herself once again, shaking her worries away and strolled around the garden for one more hour to calm her nerves before executing her plan. She wouldn't think about anything anymore. After an hour, Seeing the right time, she headed toward the backside of the Kingdom territory where only a few people were supposed to be patrolling as per Naomi. Allison thought to contact her after nearing the border and she slid near the small tree house to hide herself from the guards' sight.
'Naomi, I have reached near the border, where are you...' She was typing a message to Naomi when a rough voice called her from behind. Startled, Allison spun her head around to see a guy of her age. "You are Allison, right?"
She nodded slowly at him, looking into his handsome face and then gazed around on high alert, being sceptical of his presence. He walked to her while observing their surroundings. His olive green eyes were scanning her form thoroughly. "Hey, Iam Rustin. I need to get you out of here. Your friend asked me to take you outside the border territory. She is waiting for you there. Please come with me." Allison frowned as she recalled Naomi's words who told her she would come herself to take her.

"Naomi? I will ask her..."
"We don't have time to discuss, Allison. Please move! You can talk to her later!" He interrupted her before pulling her elbow to hide when he saw one of the patrolling guards coming their way.
"Look! They are exchanging their turns! It would be useless to waste our time here. This hour, nobody stays on high alert as they take rest. So we will be able to make our way out of here silently." He mused while waiting behind the tree house, as guards were changing roles.
Allison nodded and followed his instructions. Rustin smiled at her before pulling her with him. They were jogging to their destination hiding in between whenever any guard came into view. "Once we reach the border, they won't be able to do anything!" Rustin said.
"We are almost there, come!" He ushered her to hurry as they passed the lines of the tree house within five minutes.
Out of a sudden, Allison's phone rang and Naomi's name flashed on the screen. Allison immediately put the ring on silent as Rustin snapped his head at her. But She was confused as Naomi instructed her not to talk on direct call because of confidentiality but now she was calling her. Was something wrong? Allison picked it up instinctively.

"Naomi, We are coming...ah!" Allison was talking when Rustin pulled her harshly and she staggered forward into the bushes. Her phone fell on the slick grass with her body but Rustin immediately pulled her back. "They saw us! Run..." He whispered-yelled. Allison's eyes widened as she straightened up instantly. She got deep scratches in her left arm and hands from the thorns hidden in the thick bushes due to his harsh pull. But Allison ignored them before running with him, leaving her phone behind. She couldn't risk it. She felt like a fool for not putting her phone on silent mode as they glimpsed their presence now.
She was praying to the goddess to get her out safely from there today. Her hand was burning as blood started to seep out of the scratched skin. Suddenly She felt the apprehension take over her body as the aura around her thickened. Her body turned cold as her wrist pained with the vicious air flowing around her.
Allison blinked back her tears, panting hard from running. She looked around in chaos. Nobody was following her. Allison reckoned maybe they were already on the way out of the borderline. She was going to take a relieving breath But then something happened which halted her steps.
Rustin, who had already stopped, stiffened beside her. Allison gasped seeing his back and stepped back realising something. Slowly he turned his head towards her and her breath hitched seeing his ashen white face and the blue veins under his greedy eyes as he smirked menacingly. He snapped his eyes at her wounds and groaned.
Seeing his Elongated fangs, Allison realized that he was not a friend but...
A vampire!
