Invincible Heir

Chapter 62 Go away

Chapter 62 Go away

In fact, Tracy had suspected something the moment Sherry urged her to leave. And Baron and Yuri’s

presence made her more certain of what she had suspected. Her own mom lied to her!

Sherry recovered from her surprise and took the bracelet, but she made no reply to Tracy’s question.

“Let's get out of here,” Baron said calmly and they walked away.

Looking after them, Lucy said harshly, “you bastard! You need to pay for what you've done.”

“Shut up!” Connor snarled, the anger rising in him. “Are you insane? Don’t get me in trouble again.” He

said and slapped Lucy again.

“Honey, why did you slap me again?” Lucy felt aggrieved and puzzled.

“You know what? This is too good for you! If it weren't for our child, I would kill you! Look at this mess!

Don't you ever mess with a wrong guy again!”

Lucy’s heart gave a horrible jolt. She knew her husband well. There was nothing in this world he

wouldn't do.

“Honey, I know what I did was wrong. I'm very sorry. It won't happen again,” Lucy said silkily. “But it's

still puzzling to me. That jerk is nothing but a son-in-law of the Perry family. The Perry family is nothing

for our Johnson family! He was nothing but a brute. Why are you afraid of him?” Lucy continued.

“You little schnook. Never underestimate your enemy! As you can see, so many men could not defeat

him. He is not just an ordinary son-in-law!” Connor said angrily.

“We could get more people to kill him! I believe he's not that tough.” Lucy replied.

“I'm warning you, Lucy! Keep away from him, otherwise, either he or I will kill you! Do I make myself

clear?” Connor bellowed.

Lucy got a shock and said, “Honey, don't worry! I'm just saying. I'll stay away from him! I promise!”

And without another word, Connor seemed to be deep in thought.

Actually, after being beaten at the Blue Sky Kindergarten, Connor started to investigate Baron’s

background but found nothing. Especially five years ago when he disappeared, it was like he had

vanished into thin air.

Connor’s friend reminded him that Baron was either nothing or somebody. But for the time being, the

chance of the latter was very high.

At this moment, Baron was driving home with his family.

Lara had fallen asleep in Tracy's arms. Yuri looked out of the window, with her eyes red from crying.

Tracy had a lot of questions but she was very quiet. Although she wanted to get to the bottom of this,

she knew it was going to lead to an argument, which would wake her daughter.

Everyone in the car got so much on their minds at the moment, except Sherry. She was playing with

her phone and from time to time she burst into laughter.

When they arrived at the Perry Manor, Baron carried Lara up the stairs to her bedroom. Tracy finally

got some time to ask Sherry for the truth. “Now you can tell me what happened at the restaurant. Why

did Connor and his wife apologize to you?” She asked.

Sherry got a shock when she heard this. Then she said with an irritable voice, “I thought I made that

clear. Your jerk husband gave her a slap, which got us all into trouble.”

“Bollocks!” said Yuri angrily. “Mom, why did you say that? If it weren't for Baron, we would have been so

screwed. It was you who got ourselves into this. You two fought over the bracelet, but when you knew

Lucy’s identity, you got scared! And what's more, you let that bitch hit me! I am your daughter! How

could you do that to me? Fortunately, Baron stood up for me, otherwise, I would have been in the

hospital now. It never occurred to me that you put all the blame on Baron. Shame on you!" said Yuri in

one breath.

As Yuri said it out loud, she was very sad. A wave of anger spread through her.

Tracy finally knew what happened. She stared at her mom inconceivably. “Everything that she said is

true, isn't it? Mom, you let them hurt Yuri! How could you do that?” said Tracy, very disappointed.

“Shut up! Shut your mouth!” Sherry argued back. “The Johnson family is the first-class family in Cona.

What else can I do? We cannot afford to offend them. If I did not let them slap Lucy, they would not let

us get away this time!” Sherry roared.

“So you think they apologized to you because of your cowardice?” Yuri said with a conspicuous hint of

sarcasm.

“Of course they were,” Sherry said, “Connor is a reasonable man. His heart softened when I was

pleading,” Sherry said shamelessly.

“You make me sick! I’m so sick of you! How do I get a mom like you?” Yuri looked at her mom, with the

utmost loathing.

Sherry was furious and slapped Yuri right in the face. “I’m your mom! How dare you insult me like that?”

She shouted.

“Mom! Stop!” Tracy interrupted, “Did she say anything wrong?” Tracy’s voice was shaking with anger.

“You shut up!” Sherry snarled and raise her hand to slap Tracy, but Tracy caught her by the wrist. “You

don't deserve to be my mother!” Tracy said coldly and went upstairs.

Yuri stood there with her eyes red and swollen, tears splashing down. “I hate you!” She cried and

rushed out of the house.

While her two daughters left, Sherry pretended to cry. “Oh, how awful! Why are you two doing this to

me?”

She had cried a good deal alone, but her cry attracted nobody. She stopped crying and said through Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

gritted teeth, “How can you be so cruel to me?”

Then, she redirects her frigid stare to the upstairs. “Baron, this is all on you! You’ve ruined everything.

You’re just a good for nothing bum!” said Sherry savagely.

Baron was well aware of what happened downstairs. He sighed heavily as he dialed Samba, the boxer

from Heukwok, “Samba, you once said you wanted to work for me! Well, I want you to do something

now.”

Tracy was alone for a long time. She needed some time to think about things. Then she went back to

the room, with red, bulging eyes.

“Baron, Yuri told me everything. Mom has gone too far this time! Sorry!” Tracy said apologetically.

Baron smiled gently and said, “You need never say sorry to me. I love you, so I should protect those

important to you.”

Tracy was terribly touched by the words. “You have sacrificed more than enough for us. You gave up

your comfy mansion to stay with us,” Tracy said, tears sparkling in her eyes.

“You and Lara are the most important for me. That's quite enough happiness to be right by your side,”

said Baron earnestly.

After running away from home, Yuri was very upset. She knew the best way to get over feeling bad was

drinking. So, she went to Moonshine Pub alone.

Yuri was very pretty even when she was in a bad mood. She just walked into the pub and everybody

took notice.

“Hudson, look over there! She's so pretty! But she seems in a bad mood and needs some serious

consoling. Here's your chance,” said someone, and he was talking to Hudson Brown, the owner of the

bar.

“Ha! Ha! It's OK! I'll go!” Hudson laughed and walked toward Yuri, with a glass of wine in his hand.

“Hey, pretty! Why do you sit here alone?” Hudson said frivolously and sat down opposite Yuri.

Yuri was not in the mood to be hit on right now. She only looked at Hudson coldly and said, “go away!”

“Hey. Relax. Allow me to introduce myself first. I’m Hudson Brown, the boss of the Moonshine Pub.”

Hudson said, smiling.

Just at that moment, Yuri threw the contents of her wine cup full in his face. “Go away!” She shouted

with great anger.
