Chapter 108 Two Choices

Chapter 108 Two Choices

All night long, Baron shared all the details about himself with Tracy. After hearing what happened on

Baron, Tracy didn’t blame him anymore. They were finally reconciled.

Baron opened his heart to Tracy, and the conversation brought them into closer rapport.

Early the next morning, when they started to head out, they encountered Yuri.

“Good morning!” Yuri said.

When Tracy saw Yuri, she breathed a sigh of relief. Yuri looked tired, but she was in good spirits.

“Yuri, are you OK?” Tracy asked, a little worried.

“I’m fine. I worked too late last night and didn’t get enough sleep, so I am just a little tired.” Yuri replied

and stretched. Then she turned to Baron and said with a smile, “Baron, can I get a ride to the

company?”

“Sure. No problem at all,” Baron smiled.

Baron drove Tracy and Lara to their destination first, and then he quickly drove to the Brone Group with

Yuri.

“I have a basic understanding of the company now, Baron. But there is a problem. Some people,

especially the older employees, don’t take orders from me. And not only that, they spoken out against

me!”

“Now you are the general manager for the time being. Don't be afraid and just go for it! You should try

everything to take them down. Remember, you have an absolute right to fire them if you have to!”

Baron said.

At these words, Yuri took a leap of faith. “Well, I’ll do it your way. But if I get into any trouble, you’ve got

to help me!”

“Of course! Don’t be afraid! I believe you!” Baron said, smiling. “Sometimes you have to take tough

actions against the provocateurs. And promote someone you trust,” he continued.

When they reached the Brone Group, Yuri got off the car. And Baron turned away.

In a luxurious villa in Kato, William Porter was sitting on the sofa. He drank a mouthful of water and put

the cup down.

Wayne stood next to him. “It was too weird, Grandpa! The Brown family has fell apart, but their

businesses were fully operational. There is no chance for us to interfere.”

William frowned and said, “I know it’s difficult, but it’s not impossible. The Brown family’s businesses

are vast. There’s always a chance to interfere.”

“No, it’s not what you’re thinking, Grandpa. I’ve already looked into it. The businesses were running

very well, even they are better than before. So, there are many reasons to suspect that Baron have

intervened. He could be a step ahead of us,” said Wayne seriously.

William lapsed into silence. Then he said, “I don’t think so. Do you know what happened in the Brone

Group? Its general manager was caught by the police yesterday! Now Baron himself is in a mess! I

don’t think he has the energy to pay any attention to the Brown family’s businesses. This is our

chance!”

Wayne’s eyes lit up when he heard the words. “I get it, Grandpa! I will try my best to negotiate with the

heads of the Brown’s companies. I will do it right now.”

However, the Brown family’s leader Kris was still on death row. He was sitting alone in a corner,

trembling with fear.

A middle-aged man, with a heavy, brutal-looking face, stared at Kris and smiled mockingly. “Old man,

come here and knead my back.” He lay in the bed. Around him there were several people fawning over

him.

Kris staggered to his feet and walked toward the middle-aged man. He was once one of Cona’s most

powerful figures, but nothing had been the same since he came here.

He lived in pain and fear every day. He had been beaten several times in just a few days. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

Compared with ordinary prisoners, the prisoners on death row were extremely vicious.

Looking extremely scared, Kris moved forward and squatted down next to the middle-aged man, and

began to knead his back.

“Damn it! You can do nothing, old man!” the middle-aged man shouted. “Teach him a lesson!” He said

to a young man.

The young man grinned at Kris and gave him a bash on the chest, as hard as he could.

Kris felt a sharp pain in his chest, and the pain was so severe that it made him moan.

Just then, a prison guard opened the cell door. “Kris Brown, follow me!” he said coldly.

Kris followed him into a reception room and found Baron waiting for him. He was suddenly stirred to

excitement and knelt down. “I know what I did was wrong, Mr. Owen! Could you let me go please? I’ll

do whatever you want,” Kris begged.

“I will give you a chance today, Kris! You’d better take full advantage of it,” said Baron calmly. He

already figured out that Kris had suffered a lot in the prison.

At these words, Kris was surprised. “I swear I’ll do anything you want, Mr. Owen, as long as you get me

out of here,” he said.

“That’s good. I offer you two choices. The first one, I get you out of here but your family should stay

here forever. The second one, I kill you and let your family go. Which one? You only have ten seconds

to make a decision,” Baron said coldly.

“The second one! You kill me, but I hope you will keep your promise. Let my family go!” Kris lifted his

head, looking determined.

“Are you sure? Would you think about it again?” Baron asked curiously.

“I already made up my mind. I’m not a nice person but I love my family! I am willing to trade my life for

them. That’s a pretty good deal.” Kris said and smiled bitterly.

“I’m satisfied with your answer. It means you haven’t lost your humanity. In that case, I will give you

another chance.” Baron stood up with a smile and turned to a prison guard, said, “Let the Brown family

all out!”
