Chapter 529
Chapter 529 The Schemer
"Take her to the hospital."
Benjamin's voice was indifferent as he spoke, and then he looked no further.
Curtis immediately had two men who had just entered lift Lauren and head straight for the exit.
As they were about to step out, Benjamin suddenly reminded them, "Cover her with a jacket, make sure no one recognizes it's her. Also, Mr. Jackson, please join Curtis to the hospital. I need a full video record of everything, including all the medical reports." The journalist, Andy Jackson, nodded and quickly followed.
Benjamin instructed Curtis, "Make sure the hospital keeps this under wraps. Let only those in this room know. I want Frank to show himself." Curtis nodded in understanding.
Out of curiosity, he asked, "Mr. Martin, if Ms. Davis hadn't cooperated just now and disclosed where Frank is hiding, would you really..."
Benjamin gave Curtis a dismissive glance as if looking at a fool.
Even if Lauren hadn't told him where Frank was, he wouldn't have hurt her; he was just trying to scare her.
But he felt no need to explain this to anyone, nor did he care for their opinions.
It was past nine in the evening when Lauren was taken from the hotel to the hospital, but the matter didn't end there.
Benjamin leaned back on the sofa, his expression sad and silent.
After a while, he spoke at a leisurely pace. "You have an hour to find a girl who looks similar to Lauren, especially from behind."
"Okay." Curtis immediately took out his phone and left. Finding a girl who resembled Lauren, particularly from behind, was not tricky.
Since Lauren was a public figure, a quick search would immediately yield results.
In less than an hour, Curtis had already brought the girl to the hotel.
It wasn't the suite where Benjamin lived but the luxury single room next door. Curtis instructed the girl, "You'll stay here tonight. Hand over your phone to me. There's no need to contact anyone or tell anyone but yourself about this. After tomorrow, you'll be the newest signee of the Martin Group."
The girl, an influencer named Winnie Brown, bore & striking resemblance to Lauren, earning her the nickname Lauren Junior in the influencer community. However, as Lauren's popularity began to wane, Winnie couldn't ride her coattails to fame as much. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Tonight, to her utter surprise, Curtis himself had contacted her and brought her to the hotel, especially since she knew Curtis was one of Benjamin's close associates.
She had numerous thoughts, but which one prevailed, she couldn't say. Still, she dared not forget Curtis's instructions and resigned herself to staying in the hotel.
After making arrangements, Curtis returned to the suite and reported everything honestly to Benjamin, then asked, "Mr. Martin, are you planning to use Winnie to replace Ms. Davis?" Benjamin gave him a look but didn't deny it, confirming Curtis's guess.
Then Benjamin added calmly, "Tomorrow morning, I'll take her out of the hotel Have someone stake out nearby to capture it all, then
spread the word. Also, hire somet
online mercenaries to push this to the top of the trending lists. The company doesn't need to respond at all, especially the PR department should keep quiet and stay out of it."
As long as everyone refrained from commenting, the public would take it as truth.
Benjamin also suspected that Frank likely instigated Lauren's actions, as she probably wouldn't have the nerve or idea otherwise.
Curtis relayed Benjamin's instructions one by one, then asked, "Mr. Martin, should we notify the police about Frank right away or send someone to apprehend him?" "No need."
He had no interest in capturing Frank.
Curtis questioned, "Even though we know where he is, we still won't go after him?"
