Sixty Two
My mission, during this breakfast meeting with his family, is to get my revenge on Dominique for leaving me sexually frustrated. Earlier when I was taking my bath, I had touched myself to get the edge off while I shamelessly imagined Dominique touching me in the places where I desperately craved his attention.
Adding a final touch to my lipstick, I stand up and walk toward the full-length mirror by the built-in wardrobe. I stare at my reflection, pleased by my look. I’m wearing a spaghetti-strap burgundy jumpsuit with a draped collar, with a lace-up backless design. It’s body-hugging, accentuating my curves, my butt, and even my thighs. My feet are covered in 4-inch clear stilettos.
I look sexy. Dominique said to look hot and I didn’t have to try because every piece of clothing inside the wardrobe is sexy. Handpicked by a woman who knows what to wear to seduce a man and with this outfit, Dominique would not be able to peel his eyes off of me. Wearing a Tom Ford unisex perfume to finish the look, I grab my white purse and stroll out of the bedroom.
Dominique is by the balcony smoking when I step into the living room. His elbows are leaning against the barricade as he stares at the city. I stand still, my heart beating erratically against my chest as I stare at the man who manages to make me lose my breath without even touching me. Dominique slowly turns his head as we lock eyes. Instinctively, he runs his eyes over my body, a familiar glint in his eyes as he stands upright. Taking the smoke from between his lips, Dominique crushes it on the ashtray on top of the coffee table.
He slides the balcony door open and like a predator, he stalks forward, eyes not leaving my form and leaving me breathless. Suddenly, my mouth is dry as I watch him, with his undivided attention on me. Dominique is wearing black on black. Black slacks and a black dress shirt with half the buttons unbuttoned, paired with black dress shoes.
A breathy sigh escapes my lips when he stands in front of me, his expensive and intoxicating cologne, mixed with a cigarette smell, blocking my senses. He looks stressed, unlike the man who almost gave me an orgasm an hour ago.
“Hi.” I attempt to start a conversation.
Dominique smiles, the smile not quite reaching his eyes as he brings his gaze down my body for the second time. “You look beautiful.”
I blush. “You don’t look bad yourself.”C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
“Huh. Thank you.”
“You know cigarettes are bad for your health, right?”
Dominique chuckles and licks his bottom lip. “I know. I don’t smoke all the time. I try not to make a habit of it.”
“Are you okay?” I ask, slipping my purse under my arm as I bring my hand to his shirt and start to button the buttons.
His muscles are tense underneath my fingers as I work his buttons.
“Yeah.”
“You don’t look okay. You look tense. Is something wrong?”
Dominique stalls, his eyes locked on mine as he runs his fingers through my hair. “You know, you don’t have to act like my girlfriend when we’re behind closed doors.”
“And you had to ruin it, huh?” I glare at him as I work the last button. “I actually care, Dominique. This is not an act.”
Dominique exhales as he wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me a little closer so that our bodies are touching.
“You know the right things to wear to drive me insane.” Dominique whispers, his fingers toying with the lace on my bare back with his other hand on my butt. “You look really beautiful right now and I’m tempted to skip breakfast with my family and eat you instead.”
My pussy clench at his choice of words and my stomach flutters at his feather-like touch on my bare back.
“Are you dodging our previous conversation because you don’t want to talk to me?”
“I just don’t want to talk about it.”
“Okay.” I give him an assuring smile.
I don’t know why but I want to make sure Dominique knows I’m here for him if he needs me or if he needs to talk to anyone.
Dominique exhales, pulls his hands away from me, and takes a step back as he offers me his right hand. My smile widens as I plant my palm on his. Electricity shoots through my veins at our contact as he leads me to the elevator.
“What is your family like?” I ask.
“One word; complicated.”
His family is dining at the VIP reserved table at a secluded corner of the hotel’s restaurant. I hear chatter before I see them. Dominique squeezes my hand that’s interlocked with his as he gives me an assuring smile. I don’t know why he’s trying to assure me but I’m pretty sure he’s trying to assure himself more. I’m not good with new people and that is because I don’t really care what anyone has to say about me. During the time Damien and I were dating, he had taken me home to see his parents once and they liked me. When we broke things off, his mother called me to inquire what had happened and I just gave her an excuse. The few guys I’ve had a relationship with, we don’t make it to the point where he has to introduce me to his family. And that’s because I always call things off or we have a mutual break up when we can’t tolerate each other anymore.
“Oh, my God, Dom!” A cheery high high-pitched voice screams and before I can register what’s going on, a blonde puts her arms around Dominique, nearly knocking me to the ground if it wasn’t for Dominique who’s still holding my hand.
She hugs him a lot longer, squeezing him and pulling him into her. Slowly, she pulls back, a big smile on her face as she flips her hair to the side. Who the fuck is this?
“Oh, My God. I haven’t seen you in forever. You look good. What’s your secret?” The blonde says. She has a British accent which makes her a lot more irritating.
God, I hate her already.
Sensing my irritation, Dominique squeezes my hand. “Hey, Aimee. Meet my girlfriend, Robyn.” The word “girlfriend” slips out of Dominique’s mouth effortlessly and I love the sound of it. Even though this is supposed to be an act, it feels so freaking real.
For the first time, Aimee shifts her gaze to me, a sour look on her face as she quickly masks it with a fake smile. “Hi, Robyn. I’m Aimee. The bride’s best friend. You look beautiful.”
“Hmm. Thanks.” I don’t try to hide my disdain for her and she catches onto my attitude immediately.
“Hello, Dom.” Camilla smiles at her brother as she wraps her arms around him in an embrace. Dominique puts an arm around her, still not letting go of my hand.
Camilla pulls away as she turns to look at me, still wearing a big smile. Ms. British accent has gone back to sit down.
“Hi. I’m Camilla, this dickhead’s younger sister. And you are?”
“This dickhead’s girlfriend. I’m Robyn.” I flash Camilla a small smile. I notice Dominique’s eyes on me as Camilla leans forward to peck me on both cheeks.
“You look beautiful and oddly familiar.”
“I was your nurse at St. Jose the day they brought you in.”
“Oh!” she giggles. “Of course, it’s you. Wait, you guys were dating then?”
“Something like that.”
“Come on, let me introduce you to the family.” Camilla steals me away, as she leads me toward a very long table with her supposed family occupying almost every seat.
“Hey, guys!” Camilla says as everyone turns to look at me.
“This is Robyn, Dom’s girlfriend. Robyn, meet my husband-to-be, Anthony,” Camilla points at a man with honey-blonde hair.
“Hi,” the man smiles at me. “Pleased to meet you.”
“You too.” I give Anthony a small smile.
“You’ve already met Aimee, she’s my best friend.” Aimee gives me a look as she raises a glass of wine to her lips. I give her a stink eye.
Camilla introduces everyone at the table as she finally points to an older woman with a dark olive skin tone and straight black hair. “This is my mother, Carlotta Romano, and her husband Pascal Romano.”
“Hello,” I smile at the older woman and her husband. If Pascal is Carlotta’s husband, where is Camilla’s father?
Carlotta smiles at me as she pulls me down to kiss me on the cheeks. Okay, that was unexpected.
“You’re a beautiful young woman.” She says to me in Italian as she smiles at me.
“Thank you very much,” I respond in Italian and her smile only widens.
Dominique clears his throat as he pulls out a seat for me to sit down. I tell him thanks and sit down. He pulls out the seat next to my right and sits down next to me. His mother is three seats to his right and Dominique hasn’t glanced at her for a second.
“Dom.” Carlotta greets her son with a nod and a small smile.
Dominique turns to look at his mom, his eyebrows strained as he gives her a nod of his own, not offering anything else. Camilla clears her throat and sits down next to her husband-to-be. There’s tension in the air and I’m guessing it’s because of Dominique and his mom. It’s obvious they have a strained relationship and the mother is the only one trying to amend it.
“You look really good.” Leo, who’s sitting by my left side, leans down to whisper into my ear.
“Thank you. You don’t look bad yourself.” I say to Leo.
“Huh?” Leo says with a smirk.
“I hope everyone brought an appetite?” Camilla says as three waitresses surround our table and they set different kinds of meals on the table.
