His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias)

Chapter 0073

Amara's words shook Fiona to the bone and that was the core ingredient that fueled her next outburst.

"A threat?" She shoved Amara's shoulder, glaring even more at her as she took a daring step forward. "Who the hell do you think you've become? Having the guts to threaten me."

She once again shoved Amara's shoulder. Amara clenched her jaw and tightened her fist, doing everything in her power to restrain her own anger that was slowly overlooking.

But with Fiona constantly crossing the line, Amara found that to be a remarkably hard task.

"Fiona, I think that's enough-" Bethany tried to speak up, but in an instance, she was silenced by Fiona.

"Oh you keep quiet." She spat, glaring in the older female's direction with just as much hatred as she had for Amara. No, she had more hatred for Amara. Bethany's case just pissed her off because she wasn't used to having someone stand up for Amara. Heck, she wasn't even used to the new, spontaneous and sudden attitude that Amara had been giving she and her family this past three months.

It was like she was a whole new person. And that was like some took a piss in Fiona morning coffee.

Turning back to Amara, she continued. "You know, you're quite arrogant for someone who's nothing but a cum holder for those old bastards."

"Fiona, that's enough." Tobias warned, but she ignored him, blissfully ignorant to the storm that brewing within Amara's calm and cold face.

"But before you get too arrogant, let me remind you, under my command, you ate leftovers and drank days old way, all the whole begging me not to convince my brother to divorce you. Under my command, you stood outside in the rain for hours, begging," Stepping even closer, over the boundary that could have been her last line of hope, Fiona stared Amara defiantly in the eyes and even went an extra mile to poke her forehead. "Under my command, you became a dog, a slave. So don't you dare-"

Before she could even finish her words, a blinding and equally deafening slap was delivered to the left side of her cheek.

The slap stunned Bethany and Tobias, but not as much as it did Fiona, physically. Before she even had the chance to get baring of her surroundings and resolve the ringing in her ear, Amara has delivered yet another slap, this time, to the right side of her face. The force of the blow was so strong, Fiona stumbled backwards, but Amara had no plans of letting her go.

She grabbed Fiona's hand and yanked her forward, delivering yet another slap to her stinging cheek.

"A dog you say, well, have you ever seen a mad dog? I'll gladly show you." The sound of Amara's icy voice reaches Fiona's ear right before it was deafened by another slap.

A few more brutal slaps was thrown

into the basket before Fiona was suddenly ripped out of Amara's hold

and Tobias stepped in front, grabbing her by both her wrist when

she still tried going after his sister.

"Amara, stop. That's enough. I said stop Amara!" He had to raise his voice in order to get her attention.

But the moment her eyes met his, he nearly regretted his choice of action.

"What? You want to step up for your sister? Fight for her?" The sarcasm in her voice had Tobias feeling more gloom than he already was.

As if hearing about all the things she had endured in the hand of his sister, and his family wasn't enough, the way Amara's eyes pierced through his had his heart sinking in an unfamiliar way.

Amara ripped her wrist away and exclaimed. "What a great husband, fighting for his wife's honor. Oh wait, I nearly forgot, we're fucking divorced. You didn't pay me two

shits when we were together, so you most definitely won't do it now."

Tobias's eyes analyzed hers for a short while. Under the dim light, he could see the hatred shimmering brightly in her eyes.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

"Did you...really allow yourself to be brought down in such ways? All for..."

"It wasn't for love and either was it for your sake. I simply wanted to fulfill the promise I made to grandfather. But there's no need for that now, is there." "No need for that?"

"Yes, after all, it's all in the past, you, your family and that failed marriage of ours, is all in the past. So it'd do you good to stay out of my life," Her eyes gravitated towards where Fiona stood, palm pressed flat against her stinging cheek. "And put that dog of yours on a leash while you're at it."
