His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 354

The breeze lifted her neatly trimmed shoulder-length hair, highlighting the cool defiance on her face.

Dillon was waiting for her at the door. "You're here."

"Where's my son?" She stopped in front of Dillon, clearly not wanting to see Casper. "Just bring him out. I don't want to go in."

"Mr. Casper is waiting for you," he said, bowing slightly and gesturing respectfully. "Please, come in."

Eliza knew Casper wanted to see her, but she couldn't guess what he wanted to say. She followed Dillon along a cobblestone path into the foyer.

At that moment, Casper came down the stairs. Eliza was about to speak when he gestured for silence. "Shush, the little guy's asleep."NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

Dillon tactfully excused himself. In the large room, with just the two of them, the air seemed unusually still.

"You came to Oak Falls just to take my son?" She tossed her bag onto the coffee table and sat down, her eyes cold. "Is this some kind of joke to you?" "If I hadn't taken your son, would you have met with me?" He smiled.

Eliza scoffed. "Of course not. There's no need."

"Mr. Casper, if you have something to say, just say it. Let's clear the air once and for all, so we don't have to drag this out."

She boldly met his gaze. He felt a twinge of disappointment. She had little patience for him, her gaze too cold.

"You dislike me that much?"

"We were never close, Mr. Casper. You have your life, and I have mine. You've met my fiancé. Don't you realize you're already disrupting my life?"

He smiled lightly and sat beside her, his long arm resting on the back of the sofa, close enough to pull her into an embrace. Eliza shifted uncomfortably away. "Afraid of me?" His smile was teasing.

Eliza really disliked this side of Casper. Her brows knitted together. "If you have nothing to say, I'll just take my child and leave."

"Don't." His hand pressed on her shoulder, keeping her seated. "Do you really like that Mr. Quinn? He's impotent; you like that? That's not affection; that's charity."

She bristled at his words. Why did this man always focus on such matters? Did he think there was nothing else between men and women?

"Not everyone is like Mr. Casper, suffering from sex addiction."

"You're talking about me?"

He didn't think he was ill, nor did he

desire every woman. What he

wanted was a feeling. The feeling Eliza gave him was like they had. lived together for years, even though they had only been together gnce. Her judgment was too harsh.

Eliza rolled her eyes. She glanced at her watch. "If there's nothing else, I'm taking Brock back."

"I'm just a normal man."

Eliza stood up and went upstairs. She guessed Brock might be in one of the rooms. The second room on the left had an ajar door. Gently pushing it open, she found the little guy inside. The floor was littered with various toys. The baby was sleeping soundly, and she hesitated to wake him.

"He's just fallen asleep, tired from playing. Maybe you can wait a bit?" The man who had followed her suddenly spoke.

Eliza gently closed the door and

pushed away the man who was too

close for comfort. "Why must you always harass others physically? Can't you keep your distance from me?
