His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 312

Eliza finally turned around, her eyes darting to the rear of the car. When she spotted the familiar license plate, her heart skipped a beat. It was Casper's car. What on earth was he doing?

The car behind was speeding up, quickly pulling alongside hers. Casper rolled down his window and shouted, "Pull the handbrake! Pump the brakes, but don't slam them! I'll use my car to force a stop." Noel, looking completely bewildered, nodded quickly. "Got it," he said.

But Eliza's heart pounded with fear. Casper's car was already on the outer edge of the road; just one wrong move, and it could tumble down the cliff into the deep, dark sea below. They wouldn't even make it to the water before it was all over. "No, it's too dangerous!" she cried, trying to halt Casper's reckless plan. "Wait until the car runs out of gas. It'll stop naturally."

"The car will just keep speeding up, and you'll lose control long before that happens. Trust me," Casper replied, his voice calm and steady.

In the midst of the chaos, his calmness felt like a lifeline. Eliza decided to trust him.

Casper's car inched closer to hers, the two vehicles making contact with a screech of metal, sparks flying. The sound was terrifying, but Eliza's car started to slow down.NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

Noel yelled in excitement, "The car's slowing down, Ms. Valerie. We're going to be okay!"

As the speed decreased, the car's systems began to stabilize. Still, they were moving too fast. "There's a speed bump ahead. Head for it," Casper said.

Noel focused on driving with

confidence, but then Eliza realized the problem. The speed bump had only one tane. Their car could make it, but Casper's would be forced off the road. At this speed, his car would surely crash down the cliff.

"No, we can't do that," Eliza protested.

Noel looked confused. "Ms. Valerie, this is our only chance. How can you say no?"

"And what about him? We can't just leave him!" Eliza's eyes filled with tears.

Noel was at a loss for words. Faced with life and death, even the kindest people struggle to choose. "Ms. Valerie, we have to pick: us or him Maybe he has a chance, but if we don't take that speed bump, we've got none. I'm an only child if I die, my parents won't survive tosing me..."

Noel chose his own life ahead of someone else's. The speed bump was right in front of them. The two cars were still grinding against each other and Casper was trying to use his brakes to slow them down. It wasn't working.

As long as they made it over the speed bump, they'd be okay. As for himself, Casper had already made up his mind.

"We can't go that way," Eliza pleaded, trying to steer Noel away from the speed bump.

But Noel was beyond caring about anyone else's fate; he just wanted to live. "Ms. Valerie, we don't even know him. We can't worry about him. As long as we survive, there's still hope." "Noel, you can't be so selfish," Eliza argued. It was natural to reach for survival, but Casper was trying to save them, and they were about to let him die.
