Chapter 898 Pulling Through
Chapter 898 Pulling Through
Theo and Darian became unhappy instantly. To their surprise, Samuel thought so highly of Victoria.
They wouldn’t have believed it if they hadn’t seen it on the spot. They were confused. It looked like that
Samuel cared Victoria a lot, which was not a good sign to them. In that case, Victoria might be in
charge of the Griffith’s in Samuel’s place.
At the thought of that, Theo and Darian felt disturbed. They tried to say something subconsciously but
had to bite the tongue when Samuel gave them a dirty look.
“Grandpa, you are gonna be all right. Maximilian has gone to ask Doctor Damen for help,” said Victoria.
Theo sneered immediately as if he had heard the most ridiculous joke, “Don’t be silly. Who do you think
he is? Do you really think he can ask Doctor Damen to come? It’s daydreaming. You’d better not count
on him.”
Victoria didn’t retort because she believed that Maximilian would make it.
“Victoria, you are the best among them. I entrust you with the Griffith’s if I die,” said Samuel.
When Maximilian came in to hear this, he felt stunned. He knew that people tended to be nice when
they were facing death. But he didn’t expect that Samuel would have thought so highly of Victoria.
Victoria cried out, “Grandpa, you are gonna be all right.”
Theo finally said, “Dad, Victoria is still so young. Don’t you think it’s inappropriate for her to be in
charge of the Griffith’s?” It was such a critical time that he felt he must say something to stop it
otherwise he would lose the most important thing.
Samuel said coldly, “Shut up.”
Theo looked unhappy. Then Samuel took out his will and said to Victoria with a smile, “Sign on it.”
Theo was so angry clenching teeth. He subconsciously took it over and signed his name on it, which
appalled people on the spot.
Samuel said angrily, “Who told you to sign on it?”
Theo sneered, “Take a chill pill, Dad. I will make sure the Griffith’s is getting better and better.” He
assumed that Samuel was dying anyway so there was nothing to fear of. He wouldn’t have done that if
Samuel had been in perfect health. He was confident that Samuel wouldn’t pull through, seeing how
weak he was.
Samuel sighed and said to Victoria, “In fact, I didn’t pay attention to your contributions to the Griffith’s
until just now. You deserve it. But unfortunately it has been seized by these two assholes.”
Victoria didn’t say anything. She was filled with sorrow and didn’t care about the contract. All she
wanted was that her grandpa could pull through.
Suddenly, the door of the emergency room was pushed open and rushed in Doctor Damen. He felt
relieved at the sight of Maximilian who shot him a grateful look for his coming.
Theo didn’t know Damen so he frowned at Damen, “Who the hell are you? Why did you break in?”
Damen replied with dignity, “My name is Damen Doyle. I’m here to save people on someone’s order.”
People on the spot were astonished to hear that. They were all looking at each other trying to figure out
who was so powerful enough to send the nationwide famous Doctor Damen Doyle here. They forgot
what Victoria had just said. But they wouldn’t have believed it was Maximilian either because they had
eliminated Maximilian at the beginning.
Theo and Darian looked troubled trying to figure out what was going on and why Doctor Damen would
have come here. They were worried that they would be doomed since Doctor Damen was here. TheoText property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
looked terrified. He felt a chill down his spine. He panicked over the thought that he would be so dead if
Samuel pulled through because he just signed on the will by force.
“It must be someone powerful.” The people on the spot nodded assuming it must be someone who
helped them secretly. Besides Maximilian and Victoria, Iris also knew it was Maximilian who made it but
she decided to keep it to herself.
Samuel thought it was someone that he knew before and exclaimed, “It looks like I’m not that pathetic.
I’ve got some old friend reaching out to me.”
Maximilian was speechless to hear that. He didn’t expect his relationship with Samuel would have
developed so fast from a grandson to be an old friend.
Victoria couldn’t help smiling while at the same time Theo looked gloomy. He asked Damen rubbing his
hands, “Well, Doctor Damen, are you sure you are in the right room?” When he finished his words, all
the Griffiths stared at Theo with anger and doubt. Why would he say that while Samuel was on the
verge of death. It seemed that Theo didn’t want Samuel to pull through.
Samuel was angry to hear that. He didn’t expect his son to be so way out of line, which really pissed
him off. He was so disappointed at Theo that he wouldn’t forget it if he could get through this time.
Damen said calmly, “I’m in the right room. Now, please see yourselves out.”
Although he was furious to hear that, Theo didn’t dare to take any action but clenched teeth while
walking out resentfully.
“Let’s wait outside,” said Victoria. Although she was not 100% positive, she knew her grandpa would be
all right when she saw Damen.
Theo put a curse on Samuel in his mind that Damen would fail to save him. Half an hour later, while
everyone was nervous waiting, Theo became happy after checking the time. He assumed that Samuel
wouldn’t get through after such a long time.
Finally, the door of the ward was pushed open. Damen was so exhausted that he nearly fainted.
Maximilian hurriedly walked up to hold him and found him sweating.
Damen breathed deeply and said, “I’m sorry to have you cool your heels. It was successful.”
On hearing this, Victoria and her company were at first struck dumb and then they smiled, while Theo
and Darian looked blue. Maximilian couldn’t help asking, “What happened to Grandpa? Why did he fall
ill all of a sudden?”
