Brewing Anger
Chapter 84 Brewing Anger
TAYLOR’S HOME, NEW YORK. “Urgh!” Andrea groaned as she kicked at the dresser in anger. She couldn’t push away everything on it as they were too expensive, and there wasn’t any money to repurchase it. She paced the room repeatedly, letting out a string of curses. Nina has grown balls more than she would have expected. Her words had sent chills down Andrea’s spine, and it had taken her a lot of effort not to let herself be affected by it. Xander Jackson, of all people, the simp, must have done everything to tell Nina that he had nothing to do with the cheating. What does Nina possess to have the best men run after her? A dangerous smirk appeared on her face. Nina will never have the last laugh, and that is not happening. She heard Asher’s car drive in. It fueled her to rant, causing her to storm the living room. “Asher!” Andrea hollered. “What the fuck!” He retorted, staggering backward at the shock. “Why would you yell out my name like that?” “I shouldn’t have called your name and instead stab you in the back until you are back to your senses. How did you let Nina slip out of your hands?” Asher stared at her like a crazy fellow. “Do you not have anything better to do with your life? Why are you so obsessed with someone else’s?” He questioned, making his way upstairs, but she stood in the way. “What is this madness now?” “You tell me. Nina is living her best life out there, and I am here struggling through the mud with you.” “No one asked you to stay. The divorce paper has been on the table for weeks; sign it and live your bloody life. Having you here is neck-breaking.” “You bastard!” She screeched, punching his chest. “If I knew you were an empty barrel, you think I would get involved with you? I blame that stupid Nina for always making you look like the world’s best man.” He cackled dryly, “At least she always made me feel important. You are of no use either way. You sound like she forced me onto you. Didn’t you enjoy all the times I bought you random gifts? You deserve to be thrown into a cow shed since you never care about what goes on around you except yourself. You fool!” “Asher.” She whispered with tears lacing her eyes. “Oh, please, stop bullshitting. I detest you with every bone in my spine!” He gritted. “How can a woman be so useless? Nina was everything, and I feel so damn regretful that I let her go. Money-wise, you are a waste, and your thinking will make a man cry. Sign the goddamn papers and leave me the fuck alone. Trust me, You will never get what you are looking for.” Asher growled. Andrea flared her nose and angrily wiped the lone tear on her face. “Well, I am glad to tell you that your precious woman that you so want to get back is now with Xander Jackson. You are not even half the man he is. I would like to see how you intend to play that.” She kissed her teeth and ran to her room. Asher paused for a while as he tried to process Andrea’s words. Xander is the one intending to buy out his company. It can’t possibly be him. He covered the remaining steps that led to Andrea’s room and slammed the door open. Andrea grinned in satisfaction. She knew he would come after her. “You bitch! What nonsense are you saying?” He retorted. “I am sure you heard me correctly the first time. Need I tell you that Xander and Nina dated back in college? I am sure I mentioned that to you once before, but your brain must have forgotten.” “That can’t be. Xander is the one buying the company-” Asher had said the words before shutting his mouth. Andrea isn’t supposed to know about the payment coming in soon. He has to get rid of her before then. But Andrea wasn’t paying attention to that. If Xander can buy out an entire company, that proves just how much money he has. Nina must be swimming in excess cash that she wouldn’t even know the worth of it. “I have to go out.” She mumbled, searching for her bag. “And where are you going?” He asked, snapping out of his reverie. “Wherever I go is none of your business. I will seek a way out of this bloody mess you have dragged me into. You moron!” She hissed, storming off and bumping into Leila in the hallway. “Get out of the way, old woman!” “That bratty idiot!” Leila called behind her, still trying to find her footing. Asher stepped out of the room, dazed. His thoughts ran wild in a minute-no wonder he couldn’t find her. At the same time, he is confused. The man she saw with her the other day wasn’t Xander. Unless they are siblings, or he only faked knowing her to prevent him from seeking Nina out further. Either way, her being close to an intending business associate seems suspicious. “Mum, Nina is with Xander.” He stated, not minding that his mother was on the verge of losing a leg. Leila furrowed her brows while throwing him a glare. “What are you talking about?” “Xander, Xander Jackson, the one about to buy M&M.” “So, what has that got to do with anything?” “Do you not see it, mum? This is probably Nina’s doing. She must have convinced him to buy us out. If they are together, then she is probably cheating with him. That bitch! They are all the same. I am not selling my company.” “Are you foolish? M&M isn’t yours. And it has been decided already. What has Nina got to do with anything?” He moved closer and leaned forward to speak like she had gone deaf. “Don’t you get it, mum? If they know each other, it means Xander is buying the company to seek revenge against Nina.” Leila stared at him for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. “I didn’t realize how dumb you are. Do not let your father hear this from you. We are in debt, and no reasonable person will buy the company and pay all of the debt. Not to forget, no bank is opening their doors to us.” “That’s it, mum. Nina must have fucked his brain out and convinced him to buy it by all means. He has the money, and she knows how to get a man to do her bidding.” “Hmmn, she knows all that, yet you chose a numb head over her.” “Weren’t you the one who desired someone with money to offer?” “I bet I made the wrong decision. And whatever you are saying, there is no way a man like Xander will want someone like Nina, who has no place.” Asher shook his head at his mother. “I see your thought is still very backward. Do you think that is the major criterion for being with someone? Shouldn’t mine already teach you a lesson? You know what? Scratch all of that. The board members are acting strange. Don’t you think Xander must have bought them out to get their approval?” “Shut your trap, Asher. You have no point. These people have put their money and sweat into the company. But here they are, having to sell it off. Because you couldn’t get it right.” She accused. He parted his lips in disbelief. “Even though it is obvious your husband recklessly is why we are in this mess. And I feel blamed. I should have known better.” Asher snatched his car keys and hurried out of the house. He was ignoring his mother’s calls.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
