Chapter 49
Unice’s PoV
I’m following Ace to the meeting room, and Max is with us, but I haven’t seen Charlie yet; I know he’ll be with the two when he gets to work. We arrived at the meeting room, and his employee greeted me when I entered.
“Good day, Ms. Venixe. You can take a seat next to Mr. Shelton.” I heard the woman offer me a chair, and I believe she holds a high position in this company. The equipment, projector, and laptop will also be prepared as people prepare for the meeting.
“I appreciate it,” As I sat down, I thanked her and sat beside Ace’s chair.
“Good day, everyone. Before I begin the meeting, I will have a guest from the DOD Department who is the owner of it and wishes to collaborate with us.” Ace was introduced, and I’m going to listen to him.
“I’m going to talk to him after this meeting, so I need this brief to tell you about the plan to open a store,” Ace stated. I picked up my phone to scroll through social media while listening to him as the light dimmed and the projector began to run.
“We all know many stores have the same design but different prices. I believe consumers want another type of stuffed toy, something unique.” He’s good at talking, and I think that this company will work when it comes to selling.
“If you have any suggestions about new designs, please tell them to our designer, Mrs. Osea, because this company is all about toys and our consumers are children, and we will also do a test market if the product would sell to our consumers, and if the results are good, I will immediately announce it to you all,” Ace asserted. I looked at Max, who was taking notes.
“I researched other companies with their own stores in different countries and locations, and their sales are increasing. Sometimes it’s a balance because selling toys can be seasonal. Still, it will depend on our marketing strategy and our product presentation. I discovered that adults buy toys for themselves or to give as gifts to others.” Ace explained and was correct in his explanation to his employees.
“This will be a challenge for us. I know our company is just getting started, but I hand-picked you all because I know your skills and talents will be put to good use. I will do my best to reach out to them and ask for collaboration in our company. I will create a contract today, and I want you, Mr. Devi, to copy and check it for me,” Ace said to one of his employees, Mr. Devi.
“Noted, sir,” Mr. Devi replied, but what if I’m the one speaking in front of them? I know they’ll be disappointed if I hold a meeting for them.
The meeting ended successfully after almost an hour. I stood up from my seat, and Ace picked up his phone and began texting someone, whom I believe is Mr. Daffe, the person who wishes to collaborate with him.
“Good job explaining, Mr. President,” I tease Ace, who smiles.
“You’ll be like me one day, and if you want to work, I can hire you right now in our company.” Ace approached me, and I was taken aback.
“Can I really do it? But what if you just want me to prepare your food and deliver a message like a messenger? Your employees would be disappointed if you made me vice president because I am still inexperienced,” I replied honestly, and he laughed.
“You can be vice-president so that if anything happens, you will be the one to hold this company,” Ace explained as we exited the meeting room.
“Boss, Mr. Daffe is here already when you text him,” Charlie approached as he noticed Ace, possibly in Ace’s office.
“Thank you for informing me; please return to your work with Max, and I will deal with him.” Ace sighed as we entered his office. Mr. Daffe looked at us and stood up, ready to greet us.
“Good day, Mr. Shelton! I’m delighted to finally meet you! You’re accompanied by a lovely wife!” When he said that, I was speechless.
“Good to meet you! She’s my fiancée; where would you like to discuss the collaboration? In my office or in my conference room?” Ace inquired, and I’m not sure why Mr. Daffe kept staring at me.
“It’s up to you. I prefer both of what you suggest,” Mr. Daffe suggested, and I remained standing beside Ace as I watched them both.
“I prefer this office. Please sit down, and we will talk about collaboration,” Ace offered, approaching the sofa. I did not follow him, remaining standing.
“It appears your fiancé is too shy to sit next to you,” Mr. Daffe added.
“Unice, come here and sit next to me; she will be part of my company soon, so you should get to know her as well,” Ace insisted. I expected him to be jealous, but he was professional.
“Could you please introduce yourself, babe?” Ace requested, and I was at a loss for words when he called me babe.
“Hi, my name is Unice Venixe, and it’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Daffe,” I introduced myself, and when I was about to shake hands, Ace grabbed my hand.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Venixe,” Mr. Daffe replied, smiling.
“Let’s talk about collaboration now,” Ace added, and I leaned back on the sofa, picking up my phone.
“I was amazed when I saw your company and your employees working so hard and a poster outside announcing that you are going to open your first store.” Mr. Daffe inquired.
“You are correct, I am going to open my first store, and you are perfectly timed to collaborate with me because your department will be promoted if you join me,” Ace assured. This conversation is now earnest.
“I’m delighted to hear that, Mr. Shelton; have you already prepared the contract? I need to read the contract terms,” Mr. Daffe inquired.
“It’s still in the works for now, but I’ll have someone show you around my company so you can learn more about it,” Ace said as he stood up.
“That’s fine with me; I appreciate you accepting my invitation to collaborate.” Mr. Daffe stood up and thanked Ace.
“My assistant, Max Leonas, would be happy to help you; he’s a nice guy.” Ace said, and he dialed Max’s number.
“Max, I need you to take Mr. Daffe on a company tour.” Ace gave the order, and Mr. Daffe looked at me again.
“Can you tell me about your job, Ms. Venixe?” He asked me out of nowhere.
“I’m not working right now,” I explained, and Ace wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
“Max is outside my office; you can go with him now,” Ace interjected. Mr. Daffe nodded as he exited the office.
“That was so quick. You are prepared for what you’d say to him,” I said to Ace.
“Why are you attempting to shake his hand? In front of me?” Ace nagged, and I was taken aback. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
“I knew you were jealous again, Ace. This is work. You don’t need to be jealous.” I assured him, and he returned to his swivel chair.
“I just can’t help but be jealous,” Ace boasted as I approached him and touched his hand while his other hand scrolled through his laptop.
“There is a penalty when you are about to shake hands with-“I interrupt him as he says something about punishment.
“You know, you can do whatever you want to me; we can have BDSM sex tonight if you want,” I said, looking away as my cheeks warmed.
“I’ll be good tonight if you say so.” Ace teases me and returns his attention to his laptop.
