Chapter 298
Chapter 298
Finley was speechless.
Bryan has mutated! He had changed from a cold-blooded animal to my protector!
It was seven o’clock in the evening.
In the villa brightly lit, Dirk sat on the sofa and kept checking the time on his wristwatch.
Rita and Tricia sat opposite on the sofa and chatted.
“Why is she late? Didn’t Finley promise to come here?” Dirk became anxious when the supper prepared became cold soon.
Dirk regretted having kicked Finley out. He would play up to Finley if he knew that she would become Mrs. Turner one day.
The Keith Group was in danger, and Dirk’s health was on the slide. The best solution was to play up to Finley. With the Turner family as the backer, the Keith Group would be safe.
Tricia glanced at the door and said, “She promised to come with ‘Spring Flower and Autumn Moon. Dad, don’t worry. Rebellious, Finley won’t sit by to watch her family suffer.”
Rita frowned in surprise and said, “Can Finley make Spring Flower and Autumn Moon? Doesn’t she know little. about perfumes? Back then, she failed in the first round of the competition about perfume and became a laughingstock.”
Tricia pouted and said, “She got the perfume formulas from her mother. She isn’t such a fool who can’t read ABC, is she?”
“You are right. We should thank her to help the Keith Group out with Spring Flower and Autumn Moon.” Rita pretended to be nice. Dirk was not in the mood to chat with his daughters. He said, “Enough. You two check if everything is ready in the kitchen. I’ll check the door.”
Dirk, impatient, got up to wait for Finley at the door..
Dirk stopped at the entrance of his courtyard.
A black Maybach came, and its lights were dazzling.
Dirk recognized that this car belonged to the Turner family.
Perhaps Bryan had come with Finley.
Dirk became flustered.
He still felt scared at the memory of how Bryan had beaten Tina up during his last visit here. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
As a father-in-law, Dirk should be dignified before Bryan.
The car stopped before the courtyard.
A car door was open.
Bryan led Finley to get out of the Maybach by the hand. The noble and reserved
Bryan was as cold as before Finley wanted to impress the Keith family with her intimacy with Bryan, so she held Bryan by the arm without hesitation.
The couple stood before Dirk.
“Dad, I didn’t expect you to wait for me at the door. It is new and interesting.” Finley made a sarcastic comment.
Before Bryan, this comment sounded like an accusation to Dirk.
Dirk became embarrassed but still maintained his smiling face. “Finley, you were my daughter. Now, you are Mrs. Turner. Things changed, and so does the etiquette.”
“Is that so? I thought you were trying to flatter your son-in-law. After all, the man I married is Bryan, a big shot,” Finley said with a smile.
Bryan looked grim.
Was this a compliment or an insult?
Dirk was displeased and looked bad because Finley talked back. He shifted his gaze from Finley to Bryan. “Bryan, welcome, what an unexpected visit!”
Bryan said in a low voice, “Well? Do you not welcome me here?”
