CEO’s Surrender: With You, I Can Never Win

Chapter 277

Chapter 277

Finley paused, raised her head, and glared at Bryan. “I’m here for a mission, not to seduce a man.”

“You used your appearance for the mission. I’m your husband! Do you remember that you are Mrs. Turner?”

“No,” Finley said stubbornly.

She threw away the swab and bandaged Bryan’s wound with gauze.

“Don’t touch water. Apply the ointment once a day.”

Bryan was fuming with anger.

He clenched his fists and remained motionless in his seat.

The atmosphere in the cabin was heavy.

Harry and the others shivered with agitation.

One hour later, the helicopter finally landed in Capital City.

Harry and the others breathed a sigh of relief.

It was past four a.m. when the crowd arrived at the mansion.

Bryan dragged his tired body to take a shower.

Finley grabbed Bryan by the arm and said, “As a doctor, I have to remind you that keep water away from your wound.”

At the door of the bathroom, Bryan coldly stared at Finley. “Do you want to help me bathe?”

“No way!” Finley immediately blushed.

“Then, mind your own business.”

Bryan slammed the bathroom door shut.

The sound of running water came.

Finley shook her head helplessly.

Both Finley and Bryan were stubborn. Neither of them could convince the other.

Ten minutes passed.

Ding! Ding! Ding

The phone on the nightstand rang.

Finley picked up the phone.

It was a call from Rory. Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Finley instantly answered the call.

“Hey, Rory, are you okay?”

Rory said from the other end of the line, “Mission completed. Thanks to you! I will give you half of the pay! You showed your face in the slave market. I am afraid that you will be in trouble.”

“No, thanks. I am not short of money. Give the money to your wife. I think she will be happy.” Finley held her phone and sat down on the sofa.

Money couldn’t buy the joy of completing a task.

“Thank you, Finley. By the way, do you mind telling me who those helpers are? What is your relationship with them?” Rory was perceptive.

Rory knew that Harry and his men came for the sake of Finley.

“I don’t know them. By the way, Rory, I probably saw Gates in the slave market tonight. He helped me escape. However, he disappeared when I went back to look for him. Did he protect us in the darkness? Why didn’t he show up and meet us?”

“That is what I wanted to tell you. Several dead bodyguards have characteristic scratches on their chests. Those wounds are quite like that left by Gates’ weapon…”

Gates loved to use a sharp weapon.

Finley knew this weapon well.

Gates, who grew up in the wolf pack, made a pair of wolf claws and wore them on his wrists.

The claws could penetrate one’s heart if Gate used enough force.

“Doesn’t that mean that Gates is in Sea City? He helped us tonight. I will be right there. Please help send me more helpers to find Gates.”

“Okay, Finley. I will help you find him anyway. Trust me. You must be tired. Have an early night!” “Well, okay.”

Finley was in a good mood after hanging up the phone. She got up from the sofa and saw a pair of cold and bloodthirsty eyes.

Bryan, in a bathrobe, stood behind Finley with anger in his eyes.

“I’m sorry, honey… I…” Finley looked at Bryan guiltily.

“You don’t know me, do you?” Bryan asked coldly.

“I…” Finley didn’t know why she had lied to Rory about her relationship with Bryan.

Perhaps, she was still mad at Bryan.

“Are you going to look for Gates?” Bryan asked again.

His rage became stronger and stronger.
