This was a new week and after the luncheon, the company had recovered from a slump period as there was a boom raise in their sales.

Sydney’s idea had not only sold but there was a hundred per cent retention on the product which had never happened in the history of the White Company and all of this would not have been realised if Sydney had hot out in work.

Patton was sceptical about the design at first but seeing how big it sold he knew never to doubt the little efforts of anyone ever.

Jaxtom was not left out as he praised Sydney continuously for the great work she had done over the weekend.

At least the funds and investment they had pumped into the production of the product had been returned and the profit was humungous.

All the employees were excited since they had been told they would receive a raise in their salaries and they didn’t fail to praise Sydney.

Some raise her for her cleverness, her will to try new things and whatnot.

It was euphoric and Sydney’s head could not help but swell with dignity.

When they went into his office she sat down.

“I still haven’t thanked you properly for my outfit and also I have to give it to you, I just wrote the proposal but the entire idea came from you Pax,” She said as she sat in front of him.

“Well you spearheaded the operation and the delegation of tasks I just gave you an idea so you deserve every praise you are getting and for the clothes forget it, it’s nothing,” Paxton said dismissing the further take of the dress.

Sydney knew Paxton was avoiding the topic of why he had gotten her clothes so she to decided to let the topic die down because he was just not supposed to be bombarded for his thoughtfulness.

Jax had said he would make up for it but he still was behaving somehow stranger and although Sydney liked it she just was not sure if she was excited he had stopped being a control freak.

Or if she missed him always wanting to know where she was and what she was doing.

“You would be receiving your bonus yet again, ” Paxton said with a smug smile on his face.

“Seriously, you just gave all of us as employees a ten per cent raise in our salaries and now I get a bonus? Don’t you think you spoil me too much Paxton?” she asked as she heard him say she was going to receive a raise.

“Well, you worked hard for it so you deserve the bonus unless you want me to hoard your bonus?” He asked

“No not at all if you do that it would be a strange thing to have been done by you because it should never to heard that you made or took everything for yourself,” Sydney said.

“Yea exactly I always love my employees being happy and having good things to say about my company that way we get more investors and we can. serve the public properly” Paxtom explained to her.

“That’s right”

“You look exhausted are you sure you wouldn’t want a day off?” Paxton asked.

“No not on the first day of the week at work, I would not start that way, and we could just be here and nobody is going to work with the files I have on my desk” Sydney answered.

“When do you have time for my brother Sydney?” Paxton finally asked.

“Why would you ask that?” She asked.

“Because you are always focused on work and there are just a lot of things I feel you both as couples are supposed to do but when the time comes you either are tired or you both are fighting”

“Well we have our silent dates and we don’t make it that obvious and something had been hugging me too he has been super quiet this day he does not complain about anything and that kind of makes me scared,” She said.

“What are you scared of?” he asked back now dropping the paper he had in hand and ready to listen to what she had to say.

“Well I am scared why he is quiet, I kind of just want that talkative Jax, I seem to miss him,” she said.

“Then maybe you don’t know who my brother is for real, he is a great man and he knows what he wants when he wants it and as his brother, I would tell you my brother just wants to have his quiet time,” Paxton said.

“But he doesn’t seem to be at the office too,” She said.

“He hardly is at the office Sydney, you seem to be forgetting the kind of person you are dating, Jaxton isn’t as invested in the company as I am and him not being here doesn’t mean he isn’t thinking about you,” Paxton said and somehow that made sense to her she decided it was time to go back to her office.

“I have documents to sign I’ll be off to my office now”

“You should stop thinking too much okay?” Patton said.

She was happy and as she left the office she was happy she resigned from her previous job because they didn’t give her credit and there was nothing she did that her boss approved.

But at the White Company, she was accepted and her ideas too were validated and put to use.

With the way she was going with her ideas, she would eventually be promoted sooner than she expected and at least everyone would know she merits it and not just because she was dating one of the CEOs of the company.
