Chapter 60
Paxton was just pacing up and down his office he even went as far as pushing some documents down.
“I shouldn’t have done that, why am I obsessed about this female? She is now my brother’s girlfriend and I dint have to keep making things this complicated” Paxton thought to himself.
As he was having a mental pep-talk with himself his brother badged into his office taking him off guard.
“You Punk, out of all the women you could look at you chose Sydney, Damn is this what our brotherhood has come down to?” Jaxton said.
“Bro, please can you calm down your horses it isn’t what you think” Paxton tried to stop his brother from hitting him even more but there was extreme rage in the eyes of Jaxton.
“I can’t seem to fathom if you are my brother, I kind of regret letting the board chose you and Sydney to work on the contract” Jaxton spewed angrily.
“But what you saw meant nothing I swear Jaxton” Paxton said not fighting back because at the back of his mind he was just so sorry for having made that move towards Sydney.
“Okay fine I would not go close to your woman in such a compromising manner again please calm down Jaxton” Paxton begged but Jaxton was in great rage.
“Sydney is my woman and I don’t want you anywhere close to her, first it was you staring at her pictures and smiling goofily and now you have gone so far as pinning her to the wall” Jaxton remembered the issue with the pictures.
After saying this he left his brother on the floor and his lip bruised and blood oozing from his mouth.
Paxton got up and used the tissue paper in his office and made sure to clean the blood and then went to his bathroom to spit out the blood he felt inside of his mouth.
Paxton left to go clear his head out of the office because the happenings where making the entire place hot.
On passing by the corridor to the elevator he has to pass through Sydney’s office as he walked cautiously he realized she was at her office and she was crying and shaking seriously.
He stood by the transparent door seeing her in agony and he felt that he was the reason why she and Jaxton had gotten into yet another fight and he didn’t want to continue seeing her hurt.
The urge to go and console her was strong but then again he had to be a strong man and not do that because he knew for a fact that if he went in there and then Jaxton came in he would have to go through another fight and that must just make Sydney cry even more.
Paxton decided to ignore and walk past the office turning his face to the other employees whom he found whispering as he passed.
“I pay you to work and not to sit around gossiping so if you wished to keep this jobs going I am going to fire you all and make sure no other company hires any of you” Paxton said in an extremely firm voice before he left.
Paxton was just trying his best to be unmoved with her attitudes and what her tears were doing to him.
Entering his car he took a few minutes so that he could have a rethink of what it was that had happened.
“I’ll avoid her so that all these fighting are not recorded we can’t be caught continually feuding” he thought to himself before finally taking two heavy breaths and then going to begin his car to wherever he wanted to go to.
Paxton just didn’t want to continue having misunderstandings it was mind blowing and mind wrecking too.
After what happened the previous day Paxton returned to the office with a new scheme.
He came this time around and he didn’t call just Sydney into his office but he called Gabe too.
“Today we would all be working for the contract” Paxton said.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
“Why is there a third party at this contract deal?” Sydney asked.
“Because I need more vast ideas on the contract so as to make our business partners proud of us” he said not raising his head.
“Can we all just get to work?” Paxton ordered the two who were still just standing and looking.
“Of course sir” they both said in unison.
Paxton behaved as though nothing had happened the day before, Sydney kept looking at him to make sure he wasn’t mad at her or something.
She just was confused as she didn’t know how to handle the entire situation and why where two brothers be fighting for her.
She just was shivering deep within her, the entire situation was making her lose sleep at the moment.
She was grateful that he had brought up the incident of yesterday and somehow she was happy she had an additional person in the room because she was so nervous now working in the same room as Paxton.
When they were done with their morning routine at the office with the contract she left and went to her office, she was worried about Jaxton.
He had not been taking her calls and this was the fifth time she had called him today so she just was not ready for the break up but she was confused.
Jaxton never was this violent, of course they had their fights as couples would normally do but he was never this violent he sure must love her to much to be scared of losing her.
After a few minutes pep talking herself she saw the figure she had been waiting to see all day he had passed and gone to his office he didn’t as much as pass a glance at the way of her office.
She got up and slowly walked her way to his office she was going to apologize to him.
