Chapter 19 Surprise
And maybe once in my life I was lucky. He appeared in a short only. He looked so handsome, and I only hoped that seeing h redden my cheeks. "Good Morning, Alice."
He said while he yawned. Apparently, he was tired. It surprised me he greeted me kindly, but I greeted him as well.

I looked down and kept eating until I smelled his cologne nearby. My heart miced when he touched my chin and lifted my head to face him.
"Are you alright, Alice? Haven't you had a good sleep?"Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
Seriously? I felt like every member of this family had some mental issues, but I remembered Lily.
I shook my head a little, and he let my chin go, but he still watched me weirdly. "Okay. After you finish eating, I want you to get ready. I want to take you somewhere."
That sentence just made me more scared, but I nodded.
"No rush."
He said, and he left the kitchen with a coffee in his hand. I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself. I wasn't hungry anymore, so I tidied up the kitchen and I went into my room to get my stuff.
I walked back down in the living room, and soon he appeared, but now he wore a white shirt too, and he's got his sunglasses on. My eyes stuck on him for a few seconds, then I stood up. We walked out to his car and got in. He put some music on, and he started the engine.
I prayed deep inside while he enjoyed the route. I asked God to let me live a bit more. Even if I had to live with the Sullivans around me.
It was a long way, but eventually he stopped in a busy car park, which surprised me.
"Come
on, Alice, we have to walk a
ve to walk a bit.
My heart pounded faster, but I did what he said. What else could I do?
He locked the car, and I walked after him. I was deep in my thoughts. I hadn't even realised that he stopped and I walked on.
"Alice, we are here."
Gideon told me that, frowning. I lifted my head to realise I was a few steps ahead. I walked back next to him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't listen."
Gideon smiled.
"I know. Probably you have been really far away to miss
He pointed at the shop, and my eyes widened Instantly. That was an ice skater shop. I looked at him with so many questions in my mind, but he just laughed. "Surprise."
These all confused me.
"Come on, get in. We are going to buy a few things for you."
He didn't wait for me to talk. He just opened the door and led me in. As soon as we got into the shop, an assistant stepped to us.
"Hi,
my name is Sullivan. I rang in this morning."

The assistant was like he knew immediately what Gideon was talking about.
"Oh... Mr. and Mrs Sullivan. Yes. How can I help you, then?"
MW
wife, Alice, is a figure skater. And she would need some new things."
He touched my shoulder, pushing me forward gently. I thought I knew what he wanted with this move. During my childhood, I learned a lot from Charles, even if he wasn't aware of that.
I looked around quickly to see if someone was watching us. I was afraid that was part of the game. He showed how much he cared about me, to make others believe I was important to him. My heart pounded faster, but I knew I had no choice, so I nodded to the guy. *I need figure skates."
"Oh,
we h
have many
any brands. Have you got a specific idea of which one you would like?"
Of course I had, but I didn't dare to say, so I just shook my head. I wondered what the guy was thinking. My so-called husband said I was a figure skater, and 1 did not know which one I would like. Probably, he thought I was a dumb, rich wife who thought she could figure skate
"Please follow me, Mrs. Sulliva
Sullivan." He said and smiled. He took me to a chair and motioned me kindly to sit down.
"Are you sure there aren't any special ones that you would like?" He tried again.
I looked at him. I was about to say no, but Gideon was faster.
"We want the best one, which is comfy, and most of all, safe. I don't care about the price."
He asked about my size and he nodded, then he said he would be back in a minute. When he came back, my eyes were stuck on the brand. That was one of those the best ones. The touch of the material amazed me. Good figure skates were necessary, so I spent all the money for skating that I earned from my casual work. I earned a lot from the competitions, especially from the first place in the world championship, but that money always ended up with Charles. Which just made me hate him more.
"Alice, what are you waiting for? Try th
them on."
I nodded, and the guy went on his knees to help me.
"I think she can do that herself, mate."
Gideon said, and there was an obvious unlikeness in his tone.
The guy jumped up, and he let me do that. I quickly put them on, and 1 stood up. It was comfortable.
"Are they okay?"
Gideon asked. I nodded.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am."
"We'll take it."
"Is there anything else you need, Alice?"
Gideon asked me, but I shook my head. For training, I got everything else.
The guy nodded, and we all walked to the till. My eyes widened when he said the price.
"It's 900.00 dollars Mr. Sullivan."
He took his card without hesitation, but I had a grip on his arm. I regretted it instantly, but I couldn't stand it. He looked at me with surprise.

"It's too expensive."

I whispered to him, and he grinned while he took the bag.
"What do you think, Alice? I don't want you to fall and have an injury because I didn't want to buy you a decent one. Relax and enjoy."

Enjoy? I took the bag, and I always wanted figure skates like them, but I felt heavy. Enjoying what? something happens to me, perhaps I would die?
I smiled sadly, and I've got a small courage, 1 don't know where I got that from, though.
"I'll take care of them. I'll make sure they won't lose a lot from its price."
He frowned while he looked at me. I saw he wanted to tell me something, but he changed his mind. He put the bag in the car, and we sat in.
"I want to take you to another place as well"
I shrugged my shoulders and nodded,
He drove away, but this time, he didn't put music on. We arrived quickly to the next destination.
