After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Divorcing 440

Chapter 440 Buy a New Apartment

"Drop the act!" Chloe said, feeling a little aggrieved.

"Don't you know that I didn't take anything away when I divorced you? If the bracelets are your family heirloom, you should have returned them to Admas so that Victoria wouldn't have come to mess with me today. Michael, I don't deserve to be bullied by your family!"

Michael's shoulders slumped as he heard Chloe's words.

"I'm sorry. I didn't expect her to come to ask you for the bracelets."

Admas really treasured those bracelets.

However, he gave them to Chloe without hesitation. So, Michael didn't think they were something very valuable.

Given that Michael's mother had passed away due to childbirth complications, and he himself had never met her, it was impossible for him to know that the bracelets had been passed down from his mother. Chloe sniffed and expressed, "If you really feel sorry, then tell your family to stay away from me!"

Then, she left without giving Michael any chance to explain.

In the evening, when Chloe returned to Urban Lane, she saw Candy and Jessica familiarizing themselves with the software, and Quinn was working beside them. Suppressing the weariness etched across her face, Chloe went to the bathroom to take a shower.

Looking at the underwear she had placed in the basin, she suddenly became troubled. Before she divorced Michael and lived in Lotus Manor, Chloe's life was more convenient.

Now that they were divorced, she would have to live in the house at Urban Lane from now on.

Underwear and other items must always be hung out to dry, as leaving them in a damp or dark environment could potentially lead to gynecological issues.

Candy was not the problem, but Chloe felt uneasy about the others.

Quinn came here almost every day, and so did Jessica.

Chloe felt awkward to hang her panties and underwear out in the open.

The balcony was connected to the living room, and others could see her underwear at a glance.

Even though they were friends, she still felt embarrassed.

So, after sending Jessica and Quinn away today, she said to Candy, "I want to buy another apartment."

"Did you win the lottery?" Candy asked.

The cost of the apartment in Urban Lane, including the furnishings, amounted to approximately seven or eight million dollars.

It had cost almost all Chloe's money.

Although she had made a lot of money from taking orders during this period, acquiring a new apartment still posed a financial challenge for Chloe. After all, every inch of land in that area carried a high value.

"I can't always use this place as a studio. It's not very convenient for me to live here every day," Chloe said.

She glanced towards the bathroom, where her panties were still there.

"Where are you going to set up your studio?" Candy asked.

"Near Urban Lane. It's the downtown, and it's very convenient to go anywhere," Chloe replied.

Candy was somewhat helpless. "It's convenient, but do you know how expensive the housing prices here are?"

Chloe pressed her lips and said, "This is also a necessary investment in the early stages of starting a business!" That expense couldn't be spared.

Quinn and Candy had good laptops that were suitable for their work.

However, Jessica, being a student, needed to buy a new laptop to keep up with the demands of larger orders.

"You've made your decision. Why are you asking me?"

Candy was a little displeased and felt like a decoration.

"Come on, I'm discussing this with you, and I'm telling the truth. It's a necessary investment," Chloe explained.

"Then I'll ask Wesley tomorrow to see if there are any good properties nearby," said Candy.

Chloe smiled, opening her arms and embracing Candy.

"Candy, you're the best!"

Candy got goosebumps all over her body upon hearing that.

"But it will certainly be more expensive than other houses in the other areas. You'd better be mentally prepared!" Candy reminded her. "Okay, I know."

She wasn't asking Wesley to give her money.

Chloe didn't expect that Admas would come to see her just after Victoria had come to her yesterday.

As soon Chloe she walked out of Bright Moon International, she saw Admas' black Lincoln.

The familiar license plate made her pause for a few seconds subconsciously.

In those few seconds, Simeon got out of the car, stood in front of her, and said respectfully, "Mrs. Shawn, Sir Shawn asks you to get in the car." Chloe frowned slightly. "I am no longer Mrs. Shawn."

Simeon nodded awkwardly and opened the car door for her.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

As Chloe stepped into the car, Admas greeted her with a smile.

"Chloe, I didn't know you get off work so early every day."

Chloe was stunned. "Did Admas intend to wait here until I got off work?" she thought.
