After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Divorcing 390

Chapter 390 Seeking Forgiveness

Chloe could hear Michael and Maya arguing when she was just out of the elevator.

When she arrived, she saw Michael struggling to push Maya out of the suite, looking extremely uncomfortable. "Michael, you're drunk. Let me in to take care of you. What if something happens to you while you're alone?"

Michael, feeling dizzy from the drug, was losing control over his body. But he was still aware enough to know the person before him wasn't Chloe.

"Get out!"

He tried to shut the door, but Maya stubbornly held on, using all her strength to keep it open.

Normally, he wouldn't struggle against a woman's strength, but now his energy was draining fast.

Just as Maya felt his resistance weakening and thought she might succeed, someone grabbed her arm. The next moment, a firm slap landed on her face. "Maya, have you no shame?"

Chloe stood before Maya, glaring at her.

Maya was shocked, not knowing how Chloe found them.

But she quickly composed herself. "Chloe, you've misunderstood. Michael is drunk, and I was just trying to help him rest. There's nothing more to it!"

"Helping him rest involves unbuttoning your shirt completely?

"Maya, because your mother is my aunt, I let you intern at Paramount Airlines. On your first day, you either tried to use backdoor connections or seduce my husband?" At this moment, Candy and the others arrived. They understood the situation and started filming with their phones.

"Don't record this!"

Maya tried to shield her face from Candy's camera.

"What's the matter? You dare to do it but are afraid of being exposed? If you have the guts to seduce a man, don't fear the consequences!"

Candy knew Maya was full of tricks.

Chloe raised the glass she was holding. "There's something in this glass that you put in to drug him. If we have it tested, you won't get away with this!" Maya began to panic.

She was about to graduate from university, and a scandal like this would ruin her chances of getting her diploma.

With tear-filled eyes, she begged Chloe, "Chloe, I was wrong. I just had a bit too much to drink and made a mistake. Please forgive me this once!" "Save your excuses for the police. Now, get out!"

Maya, still unwilling, wanted to say more but was forcibly dragged away by Candy and the others.

Once the hallway quieted down, Chloe looked at Michael who slumped against the door with a mixture of frustration and pity.

His head hung low, hair covering his face, making him look pitiful.

Chloe sighed and felt that she was extremely unlucky.

She nudged his leg and then closed the door behind them.

"Go take a shower."

She felt a cold shower might help him sober up.

Michael lifted his head at her words. "Honey?"

"Don't call me Honey!"

Michael struggled to stand, swaying in front of her, trying a few times before grasping onto the nearby wall.

"Honey, I behaved well this time. I didn't do anything with another woman!"

Chloe met his hazy eyes. "So, should I praise you for that?"

Michael didn't catch the sarcasm in her voice and nodded earnestly. "Yes."

She pushed him into the bathroom and turned on the shower, dousing him with cold water. He shivered under the spray.

"So... cold."

The mighty captain of Paramount Airlines and heir to the Shawn family now looked like a pitiful child, pouting under the cold water.

Chloe, rarely seeing him like this, eased up a bit, adjusting the shower so it didn't hit his face directly.

She turned up the water temperature slightly.

"Hold this yourself. Don't come out until you're sober."
